The location was great, and it was nice to enjoy some sun on the rooftop terrace

The room was noisy as there is no soundproofing (even some rubber around the doors might already help a bit). There was also only a thin bed sheet and colder at night than expected. I messaged the owner if it’s possible to get a regular duvet for the second night, but didn’t get a reply all day. If it’s not possible, a “no” would’ve been fine. I understand people can be busy. Simply ignoring is next level though. And parking was far

Very basic. All the facility were working and it was more quite than expected.

The bed was essentially one of those (single) bunks that I had last seen in the military. While the shower had hot water, the sink only had cold water and one always needed to push a button to get it. Cleaning only happened two nights before my departure on a week long stay. I have never seen the owner or any staff.

The location was the only highlight. It was well-situated, making it easy to access nearby attractions and amenities. The cleaning stuff was nice and the host was kind as well :)

The apartment had a number of issues that significantly impacted comfort and value for money. The photos online were misleading, as the actual condition of the place was much worse with broken floor tiles and dirty couch. The moment we open the door we found a mosquito in the room, not a great welcoming. In the pictures online the room layout was different. There were no nightstands near the bed sides. The lack of heating and AC left the space uncomfortably cold or hot. The bedding, a poorly suited blanket, was inadequate and dirty as there were stains in the mattress and blanket. Moreover, the towels were ripped and were changed after we texted the host and after that they weren't changed for the rest of the stay. The bathroom had a persistent sewer smell, and the shower was in poor condition - both the rusty shower head and the fact that there were no shower amenities aside from a nearly empty hand soap dispenser were particularly disappointing. The room was never cleaned in 8 night stays even if the host mentioned that the cleaners would do so. We had to wait every morning until 10 am for the cleaners to dry the water in bathroom (we had to ask them), because the bathroom floor itself had no drainage and if you used the bath tub, the shower (the curtain did not work) or the sink (the water faucet was placed outside the sink on a marble slab and every time you used it with wet hands to close it, the water would drip on the slab and from there to the floor, often on your feet). Additionally, there was no disclosure of the check-in policy upfront, it was only revealed after booking that check-in time was after 4.30 and there was no baggage deposit available. Early check-in required an extra payment via paypal, which felt like an unnecessary additional charge. Overall the stay didn't justify the price and the property was not well-maintained and poorly equipped.

Fantastic and very comfortable studio right in the centre of Santa Cruz.

this is advertised as a queen suite for 180 euros a night. It is in fact a very small room with a table in an area that is 1.5 x 1.5 meters. Because the windows do not close properly, the weekends are extremely loud from 12 - 4 am.

Wouldn't give access codes unless we sent €50 to a private PayPal address for security deposit. Their policy states this is taken by card up to 7 days before, we had paid in full. So they broke their own policy. Check in was very late 16.30, wanted €10 extra for early check in. Booking.com tried to help out but they wouldn't return messages or calls. No facilities for luggage storage and no cycles are allowed. I'm very disappointed in myself for booking this place, we didn't stay as they didn't send codes because they said we had not paid the security deposit, it was their responsibility to collect. We had to find alternative accommodation on New year's eve at 1600. Avoid this place.
