Il Mezzero all' Acquario

I like almost everything. For me the only thing that was lacking is an air conditioner. There were two fans, for my girlfriend it was enough. Despite on that it was very pleasing time, we enjoyed it. Thanks to Sara, she is amazing. Maybe to next time in Genova. :-)

Location was close to train station (Piazza Principe) and city center. From the train station you can easily reach the beaches of the surrounding cities (Nervi, Sestri Levante). All restaurants in the city center are nearby. Self check-in worked very well and the host was available for help in case of problems.

If I had to live in Italy, I would probably want an appartment identical to this one! During our week-long stay, we found that Il Mezzero all' Acquario was spacious, equipped with everything a traveler could want, extremely clean and good-looking too. If you feel, one evening, like cooking a home meal, you'll have everything you need. There are plenty of small supermarkets around to browse for ingredients. Restaurants are abundant as well. Sara has clearly put a lot of thought and effort into making this place a welcoming refuge for visitors in Genoa. Thank you!

Nothing struck out in particular to us. Some might be bothered by the heat, but two efficient fans were enough for us to stay cool.

The appartment was spacious. It looked clean, but I didnt sleep there because we left after 20 minutes. The neighbourhood was too grimy and ghetto.

When we arrived, we were warned by locals to look out in this neighbourhood, specially in the evening. Once we arrived we understood the warnings; a passed out junkie sleeping on the street, 2 weird guys telling us things and a dealer offering drugs to my mom. The most cozy place in the area to eat was a kebab place where all the harbour workers had their lunch ( good kebab though!) . Also, the appartment was far from the beach or the city center, walking was not an option. This was not a friendly environment to have a relaxed weekend...We left after arriving to another place, this reservation was a big deception.

Sara was a great host. She let us check in a little early and communicated well. The apartment has everything you need - kettle, oven, washing machine etc, and is very clean. It is centrally located in a safe area and there are lots of restaurants nearby. The train station and port are about a 5 minute walk away from the apartment.

A toaster would be great

We loved it! The property is exactly as shown in the photos: tasteful, clean, and spacious. the bathroom is new and had great water pressure. A nice building and quiet at nighttime. Sara our host was very kind, providing great communication and smooth check in and check out services. the property is located near the historic city center, just a few steps away from the port boardwalk and aquarium. You’ll find ethnic food markets and restaurants, Via del Campo for those fans of Fabrizio de Andre, and it is a 5 minute walk to the train station. It’s perfect for those visiting the Genova who want to be immersed in city lifestyle.

The apartment is located just a few minutes walk from the train station, which was convenient for us as we arrived by train. Many thanks to Sarah who very friendly met us upon arrival and introduced us to all the facilities. The apartment was very clean and equipped with everything you need. In addition, I want to note the excellent bed and pillows, we slept like at home. All in all, we had a 2 week jofney trough Italy and visited many cities, but in Genoa it was our best apartment in terms of price & quality, for this reason we even decided to cancel our visit to Milan and extend our stay at II Mezzero all' Acquario.
