Ortigia Casa Fab

Struttura al centro di Ortigia ma non nel caos in uno splendido palazzo del ‘700. Ottima la pulizia con l’aggiunta di una intermedia a metà soggiorno (non prevista ma estremamente gradita). La differenza la fa Fabio che ti accoglie, ti fornisce tutte le informazioni necessarie e anche di più, prima e dopo l’arrivo. Estremamente consigliato a tutti coloro che vogliono soggiornare a Ortigia

Ortigia was a great area in Siracusa to centre our stay. The area was a perfect in all directions for resturants, shopping, supermarket produce and wandering through the laneways exploring the area. The apartment was well appointed, clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was a well secure and quiet area.

There was nothing that we did not like. Any issues we had were due to contextualisation of the language. The Sicilian people, that we interacted with were both honest and kind and went out of their way to make our visit amazing. In my experience, travelling with an allergy to both gluten and dairy products is a nightmare, but in Ortigia it was made easy.

If you're aimlessly looking through accommodation in ortigia, this is the review for you. If I could give this more than 5 stars, I would. The place - We honestly didn't have any expectations before coming but this place blew our minds. The high ceilings, the marble floors, the natural light, the balconies.. everything is perfect. It feels extremely well maintained with a high end feel. It's spacious and comfortable for two people. The apartment is well-secured with two front gates and located in a safe area. It has all the amenities you need, coffee machine, washing machine and even laundry detergent! The host - Fabio has been one of the best hosts I've experienced. Always available to provide help and instructions. He was more than happy to provide recommendations and book taxis for us during our stay. Self check in was a breeze using his instructions and he was always on hand to clear up any extra details. You can tell he takes extra care maintaining this property as everything was replenish and sanitised when we walked in, just as you would find in a hotel. Ortigia - This place is stunning. Very clean, feels safe, great vibe, amazing architecture and overall feel. This ticked all the boxes and so many more, possibly our favourite place to visit! I just want to thank Fabio again for such a fulfilling experience, we were both so grateful and blessed to know we found our way to your accommodation in such a lovely place on earth.

Possible negatives (to make this a fair review) - Although we didn't have any problems with this, I feel like some people may want to know before booking. If you're a light sleeper, the bed is comfy but does creek a bit of you toss and turn during the night. But that's it.

Location was perfect! Nice apartment in very cool historical building.

I find it hard to believe that there was only. 1 large bottle of water and coffee left for us. I’m not asking for a lot, but something to welcome us would have been nice. The owner wasn’t there in person, but he reached out often and got back to us quickly for everything.

Great location near landmarks bars and restaurants

Difficult to say but if I try then let’s go for a replacement soap dispenser in bathroom

We loved the location and the apartment was gorgeous with everything we needed. Our host was great with communication and instructions on how to enter the property. Located in the Old Town was a short walk to the beaches, restaurants and sights.

It is hard to imagine better service and interaction. Fabio truelly is a hospitality star. He also went far above and beyond on numerous occasions to accomadate us. Location was perfect.

As other reviews have mentioned, check the details of your apartment. The bedroom had only a starlight, not a window. This was good for soundproofing but not so good for ventilation. Leaving it open at night had an inquisitive cat demanding attention.

Outstanding property in a fantastic location. Fabio was a very gracious,professional and helpful host. Beautiful little design features in every room ; a real contrast between the historical building and the luxurious,modern interior design. Ortigia is beautiful and Casa Fab is the ideal place to stay .
