Apartamentos Las Canteras Arena

A nice appartment near the heart of Las Palmas, we enjoyed the quietness of the room and the space of the big living room. The Santa Catalina bus station is only 10 minutes away walking, from where you can easily go around the island.

It was right in the centre couldn't have been any better .near the beach and the harbour and the shops

There was no full length mirror. The coffee maker didn't work. The cooking facilities were only 2 hobs and a microwave and toaster. Not sufficient to cook a balanced diet

The apartment was located rather close to the Canteras beach, so it was easy to go there for a morning swim. Also, as it was carnival time the main procession passed along our street so we could enjoy it from our window.

The traffic on the street in front of the main window was heavy. Consequence: some noise and specially on calm days exhaust fumes. We missed some kitchen equipment included in the specification (kettle, toaster). They were swiftly delivered on our request though.

Very central location, comfortable, well equipped and relatively clean (see below). The hosts were very helpful as we noticed there was no hairdryer but this was sorted out straight away and one was bought up to the apartment. They also organised a taxi for our return journey.

There seemed to be a nasty smell coming up from the toilet so had to make sure the toilet seat was shut and also needed some bleach put down there! A couple of nights we were woken up by shouting from a groups of people!

Sparse facilities

The flat is spacious and clean. It’s in a busy area with good bus connections. The kitchen has the bare basics for simple cooking. You need to buy spices, cooking oil etc. A washing machine is there, but you need to buy detergent. Internet connection is very good and reliable.

We had to negotiate long via WhatsApp to get comfortable bedding. There is a noisy street building site in front of the building. However, they only work during daytime. Parking is not possible in the street, park houses are extremely expensive.

Great position! Wide and good organized apartment. Kitchen with stove, fridge, microwave and enough dishes and cutlery. WC with shower, wide mirror and washing machine. There's an office near the entrance where you can get info if you need.

Instead of a clothes dryer, the clothes are dried on the lines under the bedroom window, 5-10 cm lower than the edge of the window. You have to be careful that your clothes don't fall off.

Friendly staff.

It can be pretty noisy as the windows don't close well.
