The appartment is well sized and right in the centre of the town for exploring however...

When we arrived the sheets hadn't been changed in any of the beds and there were dirty dishes in the cupboards. In addition, we weren't told that this appartment is currently building site so had 8am wake up calls from drill, hammers and noisy workmen.

NO BREAKFAST

THE EXTERIOR OF THE BUILDING IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION, NAILS EVERYWHERE, TRIPPING OVER SMALL PIECES OF WOOD AT THE ENTRANCE AND NEARBY THE FRONT DOOR. IT'S NOT SAFE FOR A FAMILY WITH SMALL CHILDREN AND OR AGED ADULTS. We have four seniors for this trip. Should at least some clear passage way around the building for easier access. Very dangerous and check with your insurance liability. WOULD BE NICE IF FINISHED THE CONSTRUCTION JOB THEN RENTED IT OUT SO WE COULD AT LEAST TAKE SOME PHOTOS AND SHARE IT WITH ALL OUR CANADIAN FRIENDS TO STAY WHO ARE PLANNING OT VISIT REYKAVICKICELAND

Great location, nicely equipped flat. Close to all main sites. Comfortable shower. The beds were comfortable. No complaints. The flat is spacious enough for two families / couples to stay in comfortably.

Upon arrival, one of the bedrooms was soaked in water (the cleaning staff or other guests probably left the window open when leaving and rain got in). The water was under the floorboards, so every time we would place our step on the seam between the boards our feet got wet. We informed the hosts of this. Since the leak "stopped", they thanked us for letting them know and that was that we had to be like this for the whole stay.
