Everything was wonderful. You get an excellent view of the city from the windows (the tower under the golden glow of the sunset is particularly gorgeous). The building is situated very close to several good restaurants (which our host was kind enough to recommend to us) and the other attractions of the city. The apartment rooms are also very clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable and organized. Everything was fully equipped. And of course our host was exceptionally kind! He helped us secure a parking spot and led us to the apartment. After the check-out he even took the time to help drive us (and our luggage) back to the spot where our car was parked. He really went the extra mile to help us.

Francesco the host ist really super kind. He met at at the parking and brought us to the apartment. He even helped us carring the luggage into the 3rd floor. He really helped us with the parking and gave us good information about where to eat and what to see. The apartment is situated in a super position and is really super nice.

We couldn't have asked for a better location - right in the heart of Lucca's historic center. It was perfect for exploring charming streets, local shops, and fantastic restaurants. The apartment itself was a delightful blend of modern comfort and classic Italian style, providing a welcoming retreat after busy days of sightseeing. The bedroom offered an amazing view of the Guinigi tower, an iconic Lucca landmark that added a touch of magic to our mornings and evenings. What impressed us was how well-equipped the apartment was. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, whether for a few days or an extended visit. From a fully functional kitchen with all the necessary appliances to reliable Wi-Fi, every convenience was thoughtfully provided. This level of preparation made our stay effortless and truly felt like a home away from home. What truly set this stay apart was our host, Francesco. His warmth and hospitality made us feel instantly welcome. He offered excellent recommendations that led us to hidden gems we might have otherwise missed, enriching our Luccan experience immensely. Francesco's kindness extended beyond our stay. When my son realized he'd left his football in the room after check-out, Francesco didn't hesitate to drive us back to retrieve it. This thoughtful gesture turned a potentially stressful moment into another fond memory of our trip. We left Lucca with beautiful memories and a deep appreciation for Francesco's genuine hospitality. It's rare to find a place that combines an ideal location, comprehensive amenities, a stunning view, and such personal care, but thanks to Francesco and this lovely apartment, that's exactly what we discovered in Lucca.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Everything was perfect—nothing to dislike at all! Can’t wait to return!

Location was perfect. The apartment was spotless and so comfortable. We only stayed in Lucca for one night but could have happily stayed in this accommodation for much longer. The host was friendly and provided good advice and guidance.

Apartment is on the third floor which we knew about prior to arriving but hadn’t considered how much stuff we would be carrying when travelling with a 4 month old. Lesson learnt!

We (family of 4 adults) loved Lucca and our stay at Al Carmine Apartments. We wish we could have stayed longer. Francesco was an awesome host. He collected us and dropped us back to the train station with local information along the way which was greatly appreciated. Francesco kept in touch via WhatsApp and ran through everything on arrival at the apartment including places to see, restaurant recommendations and bike hire information. It was a great retreat to come back to the comfortable, air conditioned apartment for a rest out of the heat and for a comfortable shower. Highly recommend!

1. Central location, near there is a supermarket. 2. A lot of space, 2 bedroom with air conditioning, 2 bathrooms. 3. The owner was always available via chat or Whatsapp. He also met us with his car at the train station. 4. Wi-Fi worked good!

Not a minus, but just a point to mention: 1. The apartment is on the 3rd floor without elecvator. 2. In the morning in one of the bedrooms we could here a bit some children plywood from the neighboring flat, but for us it was totally ok.

What a gem of a place! Francesco renovated this apartment in the old town to its former charm. We wished we could've stay longer than just one night.

The property was spacious and historic. It was both comfortable and attractive. The host was spectacular. He took us to the airport our final morning when we had an early train to catch.

The stairs were a bit much at times. My husband and I are seniors.

Great location, right in middle of town. Host was very hospitable. He fetched us to and from the carpark outside the city, saving us from having to lug our luggage. There is a supermarket conveniently located downstairs. Showers were good with plenty of hot water.

Dining area was a little tight for 6 persons.
