Al Carmine Apartments Towers view with AC

Lovely quirky apartment, there was six of us staying for 2 nights. We didn’t meet the host Francesco, but he stayed in contact with us via what’s app, and we appreciated his help, from places to eat, visit and even how to get to Pisa!

We stayed on the top apartment, which was no problem for us, but you would need to be fit to get up the flights of stairs

The location was incredible, right in the middle of the historic part of Lucca. Francesco made checking in so easy and was available to give us advise on where to go and where to eat in this beautiful city. He even arranged a lift to the station for us when we left as it was raining and we had our luggage. Yes, there are stairs but the property is in an historic building which far outweighed the extra flights we had to do! We would definitely return when visiting Lucca again!

Dish and hand soaps were watered down. For the price paid, the host should have provided theses items instead of trying to extend their use.

Location was fabulous. Owner could not have been more helpful with accommodation, parking and suggestions for the area. He was in constant contact with us through out our stay ensuring we had everything we needed.

Location - right in the thick of everything but completely private 3 floors up with great views. Character of the building - authentic but tastefully made comfortable, very spacious. Lovely comfortable beds. The kindness of the host who went out of his way to be helpful without being intrusive.

Nothing. People need to be aware that the steps up to the apartment are not for anyone with any impairment. Also that if you are planning on doing a lot of self catering the kitchen facilities are quite limited, though you are only a few steps away from a big well hidden food market! We loved our stay.

Everything was great.

It was beautiful and in a perfect location. Very clean comfortable. Lovely decor and very spacious bedrooms with original features. Fabulous bathrooms. Would loved to have stayed longer and will definitely return.

Francesco has been a highlight of our trip. Not only has he been incredibly communicative, he provided us with a lot of recommendations for places to go in Lucca and the surrounding towns. Not only did he give us directions to free parking, he met us there, picked us and all of our luggage up and took us to the apartment. He even carried my mum's suitcase up all the stairs. He walked us through the apartment and pointed everything out to us. The apartment itself was incredible, Francesco has gone to so much effort fitting it out with a gorgeous kitchen and beautiful bathrooms. The bedrooms were stunning with these incredible beams in the ceilings. The views from all the rooms were just beautiful. The location was fantastic, it was within walking distance to everything you needed. The only supermarket in town was downstairs. Checking out was easy, we went for a walk into town and left our luggage in the apartment entryway. We'd asked Francesco if he would be ok to give us a lift back to our car and we were to meet at the apartment at a certain time. By the time we got back to the apartment, Francesco had brought all the luggage down and loaded the car! That was 4 storeys of stairs!

Climbing 4 storeys was hard but the views were worth it.

Francesco our host was so obliging always ready to help. The apartment had all we needed but was a little dark and on 3rd floor with no lift which was an issue with luggage.
