Al Carmine Apartments Towers view with AC

Lovely comfortable and roomy apartment in fabulous location. Francesco the owner was very helpful and even picked us up from the train station.

Everything! This was the perfect characterful place for a brief visit to Lucca to take in one of the festival concerts. Francesco met me at the station, showed me round the apartment and found a safe place for me to leave my bag the next day.

Nothing! The property was originally for two people. It would have been comfortable for two couples. In the end it was just me so I had plenty of space.

A beautiful historic property in an excellent location. Nicely restored and very comfortable with lots of nice amenities - including a lovely terrace upon which we had a wonderful catered dinner prepared by the owner, Francesco’s son, named Eduardo. Large comfortable beds and split unit a/c in the bedrooms. Nicely restored kitchen with everything needed. Francesco was so generous with accommodations and went the far extra mile with everything you can think of. We really appreciated him! There were six of us and there’s was lots of room within the 2 connected apartments

There are 42 stair steps to reach the apartments which less fit people might find challenging

Our host Francesco was amazing. He found us parking outside of the city walls, met us there and drove us to the apartment. Really went above and beyond. He then drove us back with all our luggage when we left. His English is excellent so communication was no problem. He also provided some good restaurant recommendations.

Be warned, there are lots of stairs up to the apartment, third floor. No lift!

Francesco communicated with us prior to our arrival. He collected us at the train station and brought us to the apartment, showed us around and send excellent recommendations for eating, gelateria, coffee shops, etc. He even suggested the best time of day to climb the towers. He made the experience much better for us. The apartment is beautiful and well stocked. Bathrooms and bedrooms are beautiful and excellent. He offered to drop us back to the station too - we declined but very much appreciated the offer. We were able to store our bags in the apartment foyer for the day before we left - very happy with that.

The apartment is really well fitted out and in a great central location in Lucca. Two couples stayed and thoroughly enjoyed it. The host Francesco was excellent in his communication, met us on arrival showing us where to park for free and drove us to the apartment. He gave us great recommendations for places to eat that were off the tourist routes. Highly recommended

The apartment is wonderful, in an old Tuscan style, very well furnished and comfortable. There is a supermarket on the corner and an excellent restaurant opposite the building. Francesco is a very kind host, he informed us about all the essentials, and in addition he picked us up from the train station. We would be happy to come back again.

Close to the main attractions to the area. Great restaurant downstairs and supermarket and laundromat nearby. Location was very clean and there was parking for our car outside the city walls. Francesco was very helpful throughout our stay. Home is beautifully decorated and the showers are wonderful.

The restaurant below is open late and there are seagulls squawking late at night. If you are noise sensitive you have to sleep with the windows shut. The house is sound proof once windows are closed.

The property was so central to everything within Lucca. The apartment is so spacious and helps with the two bathrooms. The views from the apartment were totally amazing.

There was nothing to dislike about the apartment whatsoever
