Al Carmine Apartments Towers view with AC

We began our stay with Francisco, who kindly dropped us off at the apartment. He was warm, kind and inviting! When we arrived, the apartment was well stocked, bathrooms were beautiful and the uneven floors gave the place that “old world charm “ we were looking for! The location was in the heart of Lucca, within walking distance to restaurants, bars and shops. We look forward to returning in the future!

We did not like very much ....

We are seniors and the stairs (64 of them) we were not aware of. You should know that getting parking and getting to the apt. was very difficult. Much of the equipment in the apt. did not work. The a/c was not on when we arrived and with two small bedroom a/c units we were never able to get the heat down. Would not recommend to anyone. Floor tiles loose and dangerous. Fans did not work. Refrigerator set to zero and no freezer section. In order to get temp to 21C we had to close all the windows and keep it dark. We did not enjoy our stay and would never recommend this rental in Lucca.

Ein wunderschöner Palazzo in fussläufigee Lage zur Einkaufsstraße und zum Platz des Amphitheaters mit vielen netten Restaurants . Blick direkt auf die Türme. Sensationell! Man wird vom Parkplatz abgeholt und zurück gebracht. Ein außergewöhnlich toller Service! Grazie Francesco!

Location was good. Facilities were clean.

Bit dark especially the kitchen.

Le personnel est très gentil, facilement joignable et prend vraiment le temps d'aider. Ils nous ont même fait une autorisation ZTL pour que nous puissions entrer avec la voiture et décharger nos bagages. L'appartement est spacieux: nous étions 5 personnes, mais à mon avis il peut accueillir jusqu'à 7 grâce aux 3 grands lits et au lit pliable. Il y a 2 toilettes bien équipées, une cuisine fonctionnelle, et 2 chambres climatisées. La lumière un peu tamisée crée une ambiance cosy, et la vue donne sur deux tours, ce qui est agréable. J'ai aussi découvert que la ville est magnifique et beaucoup moins touristique que ce que j'imaginais. C'est sûr, je reviendrai et je prendrai le même logement.

Bien qu'on dise que l'eau soit potable, j'aurais préféré avoir une bouteille d'eau scellée, car je n'ai pas l'habitude de boire l'eau du robinet. Attention également, il n'y a pas d'ascenseur, et le parking se trouve à environ 12 minutes à pied, même s'il reste facile d'accès.

Lovely, spacious accommodation in a wonderful location. We were also very much welcomed by our host, Francesco, which was lovely.

Apartment is really nice and if you would like to visit old Lucca, you could not imagine better place to stay. In real historical center, very comfortable and with amazing view.

There are 2 points to speak about: 1) Please take in consideration, than free parking is about 1 km far from apartment and if you are not moved by owner car, you need to walk it - as was our case, No issue for us, but could be said before. 2) I was not happy with owner message, that we should take in consideration apartment average Booking.com rating around 9,6 for our own evaluation...

Perfect location for visiting Lucca. Fantastic flat with a gorgeous view. The host is super friendly and taking care of everything. We spent a wonderful time in a stunning town.
