La Terrazza da Ernestina

Lovely quiet room after a long journey. Fabulous bath. Too tired to go out to eat but Ernestina had left some supplies in the little fridge. Wonderful sleep in very comfortable bed.

It wss a little further from the station than I had planned but that was my fault.

It"s not we didn't like it but we didnt expect to stay at someones "home" and we really couldn't use the garden, because it belongs to the apoartment where the owner lives. Bed was way too hard and creaks a lot.

Ernestina was a delight! We muddled through with us speaking practically no Italian and her speaking no English. We had a lot of giggles. It was fun and authentic and we did manage to 'get there' and understand each other eventually. The apartment has a beautiful outdoor terrace which we hugely appreciated and private parking (with a small fee). It's a short and easy walk into town. We would definitely stay there again.

Brighter lights in the apartment would have been good.

Great location in Borgo Giannotti. Convenient for walking to restaurants, stores, and public transportation. Only a short walk through Porta Santa Maria and you're inside Lucca walls. The room was amazing with frescos on ceiling.and chandelier. But the best part was the owners who are absolutely delightful. You can tell they really care about their guests. Would definitely return and highly recommend.

Unbelievable smell from the drains, so bad I could not sleep. Left in the morning, asked for my money back for remaining nights (stayed 1 night out of 7). Was told it was non refundable and sometimes the drains smelled, was a public sewer issue. AVOID.

The owner/host made us feel very welcome! We loved this place
