La Terrazza da Ernestina

Very clean and nice apartment, situated close to the Walls of Lucca, there are plenty parking lots. The host is a marvelous woman. The apartment has everything you need for a short stay in the city. However, it is not really a separated apartment, it's part of the flat of the host. So you kind a live next door the host.

The situation is complicated by the fact that at La Terrazza da Ernestina there are two possible rentals. 1.An apartment. 2.A room Unfortunately we mistakenly booked the room instead of the apartment which was a real disappointment. The room is at the front of the house with limited facilities & a bathroom with a hand held shower. There is no access to the terrace from this room. It is extremely noisy because of traffic until around midnight & starting again at 5am.

The surrounding area is pleasant with a good cafe & the bus service to the railway station is very close by. The walk into town is about ten minutes from the house.

The location is excellent, very close to the city walls and the old center. The staff were very friendly, nice and helpful

The apartment furniture is old, outdated and the shower is extremely small and uncomfortable

We were welcomed so warmly by Ernestina. She is a lovely lady. The location is great, just outside the city walls and only a short walk into the centre of Lucca.

La Terrazza da Ernestina is a fantastic find, located just minutes from the walled city. We found the apartment spacious, comfortable, and the kitchen well-stocked. Too bad it was a quick overnight stop on the way home, as we would have liked to stay longer. Signora Ernestina was very kind.

We needed to get an early start as we had a long drive ahead of us. When we went out to the garage, we found another vehicle was blocking us in. We had to wake up the hosts, who in turn were obliged to wake up the other guests on a Sunday morning.

The apartment is so charming and quaint, with the most fabulous private courtyard area. Ernestina is just lovely and had thoughtfully provided coffee pods, milk, jams and croissants for breakfast. Also it is very close to the old walled town.

Nothing

Location is good, the communication between host is so fast and clear. Grandma is very nice and sweet as well. There are some water, jam, butter etc in the fridge which is a big surprise!

The kitchen is not really clean. Kitchen towels were dirty. The bed keeps moving everytime you move

The flat is spacious and stocked with everything that you need. I really enjoyed sitting on the terrace. The location is also perfect as it's just a 5-10 min walk to the old town, and in a quiet area with nice shops and restaurants nearby. Ernestina and her daughter were the perfect hosts.

Perfect location for access to the town. Very friendly hosts. Lovely terrace to sit and relax. Great to be able to park the car off the road.

Maybe clearer instructions on where to park on arrival. otherwise everything was great.
