Great location, comfortable apartment and very nice Host

Level of noise at night was intense but I guess it just comes with the location 😉

Everything was perfect! The host was very kind and provided us with helpful information for our stay in Bogna. The apartment was clean, well-organized, and had everything we needed.

It was a bit noisy at night since it's a student area, but we were so tired that we slept well anyway!😆

Staying at alessio's place was a great experience. The house was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The apartment is very close to the centre and next to a central road with a nearby mini market and great places for coffee and food. Allessio was very accommodating and helpful, he was eager to help us anytime, he responded immediately to our messages, he recommended lots of good places to go and to eat. I recommend it without a doubt!!

The place is situate in a very central positions but unfortunately it’s located in an area with a lot of students and the bar downstairs was open until early morning. If you looking for a quiet spot, well it’s not. But the host was nice enough to provide ear plugs. We didn’t understand at first but was clear the first night.

Communication with Alessio was very good, he provides useful information and he is available for any issue you may have regarding the apartment. The place is clean, warm and quite spacious. Location is convenient to explore around.

Firstly I have to say how helpful and considerate the host, Alessio, was. He contacted us a couple of times on WhatsApp when we arrived in Bologna to give us the access code to get into the building and the apartment. He then sent a long list of good places to eat nearby. We spent a bit of time chatting and he gave us lots of ideas for interesting places to visit. He also got in touch several times to ask if the apartment was warm enough, offering to adjust the central heating if we were too cold. He even apologised for the rain! We told him not to worry, we're from Scotland and perfectly used to wet weather! The apartment itself was perfect, large and very comfortable for a studio apartment and had a well equipped kitchen. The bed was comfortable and the room itself was spacious with enough storage for our clothes and luggage. There was a good sized toilet/shower room with a washing machine, and the water pressure and temperature were very good. If you come to Bologna to see the old town and visit some of the many amazing museums and art galleries then this apartment is in the perfect location. It's just 15 minutes walk to Piazza Maggiore through the beautiful old streets and passing by the two towers. The other direction takes you towards the university district and some beautiful museum collections like the Palazzo Poggi and the Zoology collection. Pretty much everything is within walking distance and the wonderful Portici are perfect for keeping out of the warm sunshine (or in the case of our visit, the rain!). This was our first visit to Bologna and we were only there for 5 days, but we enjoyed it so much we'll definitely be back to explore more and see the places we didn't have time for on this visit.

The only downside to the visit was the street noise at night. This isn't a complaint about the apartment or the host to be fair, but only to be expected in a town full of students who obviously like staying up late! There were a few restaurants in the neighbourhood and a bar/pizzeria close to the apartment so be aware that there may be some noise at night. It generally quietened down around midnight so wasn't really much of a problem for us.
