Elegante appartamento centro storico

The apartment is spacious and has the spirit of old Sicily. That's why we chose it. In that sense, we were satisfied. The rooms are wide and the high ceilings create additional comfort. There are air conditioners in the rooms, and an air vent in the living room, which can be relied on even with the windows closed. The main bed is comfortable if you prefer a firmer mattress. We were pleasantly surprised that there were books in the apartment about the history and culture of Sicily. The internet is fast and uninterrupted.

A problem for me was the too narrow shower cabin - about 65x65 cm, where a person cannot even bend over. There is also a lack of space to arrange the bathroom products. There were several signs in the common corridor requiring the lights there to be turned off, which bothered me and I had to go back sometimes to make sure the lights weren't left on. This can be solved with a simple automatic light switch.

The only one plus in this apartment is bed in bedroom. 2 ACs is a huge plus Near the flat super nice restaurant

There's 3 sofas in living room and all 3 are old! If you have more than 2 people there it will be super uncomfortable to sleep on the sofa in the living room. Your legs are higher than head, sofa makes a lot of noice. Also in the very first day it was super loud disco downstairs (on Monday night) There's no washing machine, no dishwasher. Everything looks not good retro but just old and very used One towel was with holes Every dor makes noice

The apartment is clean, elegant, and comfy, Great location. But the real story about this place are the hosts. Together with a friend of mine recently visited Catania and our flight back home was canceled due to Etna eruption that happened just before the biggest Italian holiday Feragosto. We asked Valeria and her sister to help us find a place to stay for another 2 nights in a fully booked city. They met us by the apartment and spent several hours trying to find a place for us, calling all their conections, walking the streets and asking buisness owners for a room. Finally, they found a nice place for us, just 15 km from the city, and helped us to rent a car during the holiday, which seemed to be impossible in those sircumstances. Fantastic appartment right in the center of Catania. Everything was within short walking distance, and the bus to the beach only 7min away. The appartment was very spacious, which we needed for our 3 kids. High ceilings, AC, full kitchen, TV, internet and even a baby bed for our youngest. The appartment was perfect for enjoying Catania. Tour operator next door who offered toura to Etna, Taormina ++. The host was very helpful, and made our stay perfect! Would highly recommend this appartment!!!
