Authentic, Italian-granny-style stay in a great location, with easy access to Varenna – just a 20-minute walk through charming, narrow Italian streets or a quick 5–10 minute drive. A breathtaking view of Lake Como from the balcony.

Please note that the bathroom is not en suite — it’s located across the staircase from the room. Also worth mentioning: there’s a church just outside the window, and its bells chime every 30 minutes from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

We came back after 4 years and this place is still amazing:) Livio is a great host and the apartments have everything you need. Spectacular views and the quietness of Perledo keeps us coming back:)

I booked this appartment based on it's excellent reviews but what a let down. We were in the ground floor appartment. On our approach to the appartment we thought it was unused as the weeds around about it were unreal. We opened the door and the smell of oldness, must and mould was overpowering. We contacted the host and asked if she had another available appartment but she didn't. She just told us to open the windows and doors and it would go away. Then we went to use the bathroom after our 9 hour journey to find that there was absolutely no toilet paper and 2 sachets of shower gel for 2 of us for 4 nights. According to the booking all toiletries and toilet paper were included. There was quite a lot of mould in the shower also whish could have been easily cleaned. I could go on and on but I reckon you can see how disappointed we were and so I cannot recommend this appartment to anyone. The other ones must be much better!

So I try to be honest. I loved this apartment, but my husband not. I loved the atmosphere, I loved decoration, I loved all these cosy quite streets of Perledo and tell the truth I've never stayed in such an authentic apartment. If you want to feel a real Italy vibes you should definitely stay there. We stayed there for 4 nights and if you love hiking it's a perfect location to start different beautiful trails from Perledo. There is a grocery shop nearby ( just 2 minuits away) and very nice pizza place where you can get a meal but also can buy bus tickets, have a coffee in the morning and have a beautiful view of lake Como. There was wonderful Olive oil and coffee in the apartment! This really made extra bonus to my stay! Loved it! You should know though that to get to Perledo from Varenna is about 25 min hill walk, though the views are beautiful! We got a bus to Perledo only when we arrived by train to Varenna and when we left on the last day. Other days we walked down and up and it was a pleasure if you like hiking. The owner was really nice and all the instructions how to get to the apartment were very clear. Though you should know that there is a tourist tax in Italy (we didn't know) and it's about 2 euro per night per guest. So it additional charge (in cash) which we left before leaving.

This is what my husband didn't like. We arrived in the beginning of April and probably we were the first guests after winter time. It was freezingly cold in the apartment. And we are from England! There we used to have quite cool apartment in winter. So reading some review I expected that it's probably gonna be cool, but it was litteraly freezing for the couple of days. There was one heater but the walls were so cold that it couldn't proper heat the room. Though if you are coming not in the first days of April it shouldn't be a problem. On our last days (when weather outside was quite hot) the rooms inside were perfect- nice, cool and not freezing. For the owner I would suggest to bring a second heater for the guests who stay in the beginning of April. Another problem was Church bell ringing. It starts from 6 a.m and then every half an hour. Again if you are okey with earplugs or you sleep quite well it would not be a problem, But if you are like my husband you would probably would not like it. Anyway I personally would stay in the same apartment again!

Very cute property with a lovely little courtyard. We enjoyed staying in Perledo and the small town feel. The unit was also very cozy inside. We were prepared for the walk, which was as difficult as the other reviews made it sound! It was also raining when we were there so it got quite slippery. Not something that would put me off recommending the stay though.
