Lets start with the view - just amazing. Has to be experience - photos do not do justice. You get a real experience living in a small hillside Amalfi village. Yes there are quit a few steps (160?) through a winding village pedestrian walk to reach the property from the nearby road. While requiring some effort, this added to our experience and our memories. The apartment itself is very nicely done and spacious. Looks brand new. Ample closet space. Comfortable beds (all of them). Fully equipped kitchen. Big screen connected to the internet. Washing machine and a decent place to hang the cloths. Nicely lit up with LEDs. We visited off season and had no trouble finding parking. But the Amalfi area is Amalfi - in summer I suppose you would have to use a car park. We actually walked down to the city of Amalfi. Enjoyed the walk down, came back by bus. We stayed during the holiday season - the house was nicely decorated accordingly - so thoughtful. We were greeted by Pina - such a warm positive person - what a delight.

"Best view of the Amalfi coast"

10.0

Beautiful location, best view of the Amalfi coast. House is very cute and unique. Friendly owners

You can’t take a car all the way to the property. You need to engage in a 15 minute walk downhill through small stone paths (and then uphill after checkout). This can work for a younger group with few and light bags. unfortunately we were traveling with elders and many suitcases. Going up and down was very exhausting with the bags. Would be great if the property owners could flag these issues clearly to all prospective guests so one can plan accordingly.

Stay longer! Pina, the owner or manager, was wonderful. She told us which bus to take, provided an item that we were in need of, and went out of her way for us. The location, the view, was incredible. We should have booked a couple more nights there. There is a bus stop right there but the bus doesn't stop there often. Not a problem. A 10 to 15 minute walk takes you to Scala which has much more frequent buses.

"A wonderful base to explore Ravello and the Amalfi Coast"

10.0

This property is huge! All the rooms, including one of the bathrooms are really big and the living part - kitchen/diner and lounge are open plan in the centre giving a really nice flow. You wake up to a wonderful view from the two main bedrooms and can walk straight out onto a huge balcony. Much time can be spent just looking at the view - from the balcony you can see the whole of Ravello, Atrani, Pontone and the ruins of the Basilica Sant Eustachio and then a massive amount of open sea. In the distance you can look towards the nearby nature reserve which we did not get time to see. From the balcony we watched thunderstorms out to sea, the activities of cruise ships and the comings and goings of the buses down in the valley. When the sun goes down, the view looks like a fairytale with all the sights lit up. The apartment is in Minuta, within reach of Scala with its many nice restaurants. We recommend Zi’Ntonio and Gli Ulivi - both are part of hotels and are very romantic. The apartment does not have a pool but you can easily walk to the hotel Villa de Guissepina (adjacent to Zi’Ntonio) where you can rent a sun-lounger and table for €15 and enjoy the pool all day together with the facilities. There are two shops in Scala which sell various food and household items. Both open in the morning and the evening but are closed in the afternoon. We enjoyed walking into Ravello along the road (not many steps) and visited both Villa Ruffolo and Villa Cimbrone which are a must for history and gorgeous views/gardens. Going back to the accommodation, it is spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and has all mod cons including great air-conditioning and ambient lighting. It has an air of quality, rare in holiday accommodation and is self contained with its own gate.

Some other reviewers have commented on the number of steps to reach the property. They are not a problem on a daily basis - we had huge suitcases as we were staying for a fortnight. We managed to get down the steps without help. Pina - the lovely owner helped us on the return journey. Anyone who comes to this area of Italy needs to be prepared to walk up and down steps. We travelled to Amalfi several times on the SITA bus - you can get tickets from the shop (Il Portico) next to the stop. From Amalfi you can get ferries to Positano, Sorrento, etc - we went to Capri. Be aware that the walking route to Amalfi is only for the physically fit. We did it twice but got the bus back. It is fun and the views are amazing but it is hard on the joints. Be aware that taxi prices can be expensive.

"Can't compete with the views!"

9.0

Incredible views, like utterly amazing. Huge and lovely place, really cute town nearby with restaurants and a shop. Would thoroughly recommend as it's utterly fantastic!

Not a bad thing but something for anyone planning to go here - buses are temperamental so you need to plan to do a fair bit of walking to and from scala for the bus.
