Casa Colonne

The location was very convenient . Just a few mins walk to the ferry and bus terminal. Loads of shops and restaurants in the area .An incredibly helpful and friendly host !

This is the easiest 10 rating I have ever given. The apartment was extremely clean, quiet, beautifully decorated. Every detail seems to have been considered. The mattress was the most comfortable I've slept on. Somehow the apartment was modern and yet felt like Amalfi. The host was very helpful and happily carried one of our suitcases up the 60 or 70 steps to the apartment. The location was right in the centre of Amalfi with an excellent view. It couldn't have been a better experience. Would happily go back and recommend to others.

Location was amazing! So close to the main area for dining, shopping, cathedral, and the ferry and buses. We didnt mind the 90 steps up to the property at all. With the help and suggestion of the host, who was so accommodating, he arranged for a porter to help us with our bags on the way up and we tipped the porter. On the way down we helped ourselves as we got used to the steps. Good exercise! Everything extremely clean and comfortable.

Decor could use just a little updating. Although everything was well taken care of, clean, and in working order. Was hoping for more of a balcony to sit on with such a beautiful view. Could only stand.

Michele met us at the docks and allowed us to store our luggage as we were early. He gave us a brief history of Amalfi and made suggestions for eating out as he walked us through the 2 main piazzas, spending a lot of time with us. At the apartment he explained how to use appliances and supplied us with cold drinks. The view from the balcony was beautiful from the duomo to the sea. Storage for clothes etc was very generous and there was a safe big enough to store any laptop. A very quiet neighbourhood. Great to have a washing machine.

Everything! The location is wonderful, the apartment faced the Cathedral, was close to the pier and bus stops. The view is amazing. There is a lovely view of the sea and also of Amalfi. The home was spotlessly clean, is beautifully decorated, and has everything you need for your stay. When I was researching this property, many people mentioned the steps, but they truly are not that arduous. For someone who has limited mobility, it would be difficult, but we didn't find the stairs particularly challenging. (Especially, if you plan to do the Path of the Gods!) We have been traveling in Europe for 7 weeks and this apartment is our absolute favorite. The apartment is wonderful, but beyond all the amenities, the owner, Michele., is simply an exceptional host. I cannot begin to say how helpful, kind and generous he is. One of the things that makes Casa Colonne so special is the family that shares their lovely home with us. Grazie mille, Michele! I hope our travels bring us back to Amalfi; if so, this is where we will stay! I highly recommend Casa Colonne!
