Aura Ortigia Apartments

Fantastic location, comfy beds, really lovely and helpful owner. Ideal for a short stay.

There were no windows!

The apartment is right next to the sea which we loved. Also, the price/value ratio was absolutely amazing. Giorgio went our of his way to give us the keys earlier and to let us know what we can do in Ortigia for our short stay.

Giorgio is the great host. Unfortunately the apartment had the last minute plumbing problem, but Giorgio immediately arranged our stay in the hotel around the corner. The location is great.

- The host, Giorgio, was super responsive and helpful. He picked us up from the bus station in the rain and gave us suggestions for restaurants and parking. - Good location in Ortigia, close to the seaside.

- Not very soundproof so you can hear all the sounds from upstairs and outside in the alleyways. - We had some problems with the hot water on the last day. The heating switch was on but the water only got lukewarm at best and then went cold after 5/10 minutes. - We didn’t realize there were two different rooms as it wasn’t so clear on the booking page, so was initially surprised by the room we were given.

Excellent location in the heart of Ortigia. The owner was very welcoming and gave us a lot of tips.

The apartment is quite humid. I guess having only one window and the proximity to the sea is not helping. There is AC with dehumidifier function tho, so it’s ok when being inside the apartment. The bed mattress was extremely soft. Might be good for some people, but was not the best experience for me. Given that this is an apartment with a kitchen, i would have liked to have the basics for cooking like olive oil and pepper (salt was there).

Good, quiet location in Ortigia, so everything was close. Spacious apartment, kind host and very clean!

What a gem of a place, perfectly located to explore,with great food options within wandering distance. Giorgio is a wonderful host,who went out of his way to make our trip one we will never forget
