Luxury Allegra’s home

This is well equipped apartment in residential building. Not far away from old town. It had everything you needed. Bright and cozy. Host was always available and quick to respond. Apartment was with self check-in which was very convenient for us. Everything was clean. Close to apartment have a market on Saturday.

Everything was good. This is not a disadvantage, but the apartment is on levels and there are stairs. But I liked that.

We stayed at this property for 2 nights. It's important to remember that it cost us €60 per night and hence I want to be fair in my review. Pros 1. It cost us €60 a night, and that us very very affordable. 2. Location was fabulous, a 10 min walk from Ortigia. The property is in a local apartment complex and gives a community vibe. 3. Cleanliness was top notch stuff. Lots of sweets and coffee stocked, no soap or shampoo. 4. Spacious apartment with a loft and 2 toilets!! The couch can act as an additional bed. 5. There was complete privacy. The owner never met us, but was always communicating (in Italian only) via booking.com. Check in and check out was easy.

Cons 1. There was no internet. There is a router which is plugged in but receives no data. All previous reviews mention this, yet the owner has not addressed the matter. As tourists who need to also work occasionally, this really was a huge downside to us. The owner made several excuses from the app not working, to the service provider looking into it, to finally conceding that there wouldn't be any internet. He did not charge us the tourist tax to compensate. I think the property should just be advertised as not having an internet subscription to manage expectations. 2. Paper thin walls - the walls of this property are so thin, we could hear the neighbours having a conversation as if they were amidst us. This is not great given that the neighbours go to bed at midnight and have large number of people chatting till late night. This isn't the owners fault per se, but it's important to remember if you want to have a good night's sleep. 3. Bed and pillow uncomfortable - again, for €60 per night, I wouldn't expect anything better, but the pillow is almost breaking down to the point that it gave me a sprained neck. Unrelated to the property, we parked our car outside the building and it got scratched by another car so that ruined our holiday a bit, but this could have happened anywhere in Sicily. All in all, bearing in mind that this cost us so little, it was a nice stop to explore Siracuse and would recommend it to anyone visiting the city. I would only manage expectations of travelers better to avoid any disappointment.

The stairs to the upper level are steep and narrow steps. Touchless checking in and out was a bit of a challenge for us because the host communicated in Italian only and we had to use Google translate. But we highly recommend the apartment

The apartment is recently renovate, fully equiped and in a perfect ocation. The host is attentive, always checking if you are comfortable and he spent the time to put together a hospitality pack including coffee to wake you up!

We would recommend to change the mattress

Spacious and clean room. Well equipped kitchen. Free parking(street). Good location(ortigia away 10 min on foot)

The flat is very spacious, both bathrooms and kitchen are nice and clean, the flat has everything you need and appliances are in a good condition. The flat is near but not exactly in the old town so free parking is easily available but requires a 10 min walk to Ortiga.

Two things that stops me from giving 10 - lack of WIFI and the bed mattress seemed a bit used and too soft.
