Excellent location and lovely apartment. Sergio’s instructions meant we found it easily and navigated the key location!

Lack of proper lighting in the bedrooms- one light didn’t work so quite dark at night. Minor issue but easily fixed

Great location, very clean, air conditioning.

Minor suggestion: shower could use a soap dish or small shelf.

It was just an ok apartment.

The location was noisy which can't be helped but neighbours seemed to start building work at around 7 30am and the rubbish trucks came by at 5am! The lamp in the bedroom was broken, the toilet didn't flush properly and it was generally really dark even when the shutters were open. The washing machine had lots of mould in the seal. Everything needed a good spruce up.

The Location

Great location, nice host, the apartment is just out of the main centre of Parma but very very close, so it was great for walking. We brought a car with us and had to park it in a car elevator which was great to be able to have a place to park our rental car in the city, rare in small towns in Italy. The car elevator is tiny so luckily so was our car.

The beds weren't that comfortable and could have used a couple more pillows.

I had read some reviews regarding noise but went with an open mind however it was so noisy! The rubbish trucks came at 5am both days we stayed and outside was generally noisy. It also reminds you in the T&Cs that it's a residential apartment and to be respectful. However, every morning we stayed at around 7am another resident was banging like they were doing building work! I don't think that's an acceptable time or respectful! Also the toilet in the ensuite had a broken flush. The smaller flush was completely missing and the larger flush only partly worked and wouldn't flush again within 30 minutes of the initial flush! The lsrge lamp in bedroom didn't work and the apartment felt really dark in the bedrooms. I know it's hot in Italy so keeping it dark helps keep it cool but it was impossible to see properly using only 2 side lamps. Another very minor point is there was only a bin the the kitchen, no other waste paper bins. Really odd. I wouldn't return to this property.

This is a very spacious apartment for two people. The large double bed is extremely comfortable, the kitchen area is well equipped (though it would be even better if a dish cloth and tea towel were supplied) and the shower room is excellent. The apartment is on the second floor (that is, two levels up) but there is a lift which worked well. There is a view only of the courtyard and the back wall of the church, but this helps to keep the apartment cool during the summer heat.

The kitchen equipment is a bit random, and might benefit from some thought and experience, but this is a minor complaint in what is an excellent set-up. The touch-sensitive hotplate works very well. However, there seemed to be no instruction booklet for the microwave, solved by guesswork. Indeed, apart from wonderfully clear instructions on the separation of waste into glass, paper, plastic etc., there were no instructions at all. Again, a minor quibble, but a welcome message with some information on the kitchen, the air conditioning and so on would make what is a very good experience into an outstanding one.

The host left great instructions on how to get the keys. The location was phenomenal! The apartment was spacious and comfortable. The host was also very responsive via whatsapp - easy to contact.

Only one set of keys. The apartment advertised laundry but it was broken and they did not provide any detergent. The same goes for the dishwasher. Kitchen amenities were lacking (cutting board, coffee- although they had a nespresso machine no pods were provided). Overall a good place but some small things were missing.
