La Vanedda apartment

very uncomplicated check in; top description to find it. Very nice terrasse (!) with separate washing machine (very useful). Comfortable bed in the entry-area (room). Cool room downstairs, with small table and chairs. Well equipped kitchen. Clean.

- very small kitchen (was too hot under the rooftop in summer). The kitchen is upstairs and right next to the bathroom; - The fact that one cannot use toilet paper (as per announcement) is a bit akward for Italy - Im used to it from the Arabic world but there you find hygene showers; - very, very steep stairs to the appartment; quite a thing with suitcases; - It needs to be mentioned that Siracus is a parking nightmare, it really is! No matter you are looking for a paid parking or a public slot ... simply forget it. You can only park outside (1.5km at least) from the old town – if you are lucky. No issue if there was public transport (I am not a car fan, but when touring through Sicily ... with luggage); Dont use a car in Siracusa, your life will be m u c h easier.

La Vanedda is a great little gem right at the entrance of Ortigia. Parking was very easy – which is not a given in the island. On top of it, Coline was a great host, who made herselft availabe for all kinds of tips and recommendations.

The place was a bit hot – especially in the area upstairs. However, the AC did its job and we managed to sleep well at night.

Newly renovated apprt, there is everything you need, esspecially loved the coffee machine. Bathroom spacious and very clean. Coline was very responsive and reliable.

The neighrhood it's a bit "untidy" and weird at first sight, but actually pretty safe, and very close to the main attractions in Ortigia and also to the bus stop on Umberto street, where the busses to the beaches stop, which was very convinient for us.

Upper flor was quite hot in the evening as to be the last flor Not a big problem for me but toilet on the second flor

The apartment ist in the city center and you can walk everywhere. The apartment has all you need and we were even greeted with some cookies. Coline send us all the information we needed and answered quickly. We would 100% recommend to stay here :)

Location is great, we had an amazing time on the terrace. Coline gave us great recommendations and allowed us an early check-in.

Nothing really

Great location, we had no issues finding free parking on the street by the apartment. The terrace was really nice to sit out for breakfast or a drink in the evening. It was helpful to have the washing machine too. Close to lots of great restaurants.

The location was excellent. 2 mins walk to Temple of Apollo and the market. It was easy to walk to all the amazing landmarks and points of interest. The Cathedral is stunning. An amazing peninsular.

At the time of travel Catania airport was closed, due to a fire at the airport, so traveling to and from Siracusa/Ortigia was extremely stressful and tiring. Flights were cancelled and then diverted. I lost two days of my stay due to flight problems. I was meant to stay Saturday to Saturday but only managed Sunday to Friday.
