La Vanedda apartment

The host had thought of everything - there was even an umbrella -and was accommodating with our request for a slightly early check in and late check out. The apartment was cool and quiet, a lovely apartment to come back to after a days sightseeing this beautiful town.

The apartment is in a great location for walking around Ortija. Clean, equipped with the necessary, with a large terrace and close to the market, which was an exciting experience to visit. Thanks to the owner who was available with information when we needed it.

There is nothing.

The location was great and I found a parking space right next to the property. The outside terrace was really nice and the washing machine was a wonderful bonus after a week of travelling. The apartment is very close to the open air market so shopping for breakfast was fun and convenient. Our host, Colline was very nice and speaks English very well.

Having to walk upstairs to use the bathroom.

The apartment is ideally situated and the kitchen - although small - catered to all our needs. The washing machine was much appreciated and the solarium was a fantastic area for drying the clothes and catching some rays. The market is literally around the corner where the tastiest fresh foods are on sale. The bedroom is downstairs and a good size. The bathroom is a bit cold but the heater under the basin works well.

The bed was far too firm for us to sleep comfortably. I called Coline and she had another duvet so that we could sleep on top of one and under the other but it was still very uncomfortable. Also - there is an unfortunate smell in the bathroom. In order to use the bathroom you need to leave the window open for about 15 minutes to get rid of the smell, As we were there in March it made the bathroom really cold. If these 2 issues were resolved it would have rated very very highly as Coline is an excellent host.

Location was great as central and close to the market. The apartment had all the facilities we needed. Coline provided milk, yogurt, coffee, pannetone in the kitchen and there was washing machine liquid & conditioner. The bed was comfortable and room very quiet, ensuring good sleep. Lots of storage space too. The WiFi is excellent and there is a Samsung TV.

Not a dislike, more a need to know....The entrance stairs are beautiful but if you have any mobility issues then they may be too difficult/steep. There are also stairs to the kitchen, shower room & roof terrace. Both were fine for us.
