箱寝荘 - Hakoneso

You have an entire house to yourself. After falling over each other in hotel rooms this was so pleasant. The house is charming - very nicely decorated and very comfortable beds.

Not a criticism, but you do need to walk up a hill to get there. If you are not capable of walking up two flights of stairs without stopping, I’d suggest staying somewhere on the Main Street.

House is beautifully finished, very spacious and has great facilities. It is about a 10 minute walk to the town and station and is in a very quiet location.

Very very slow wifi, unable to do some essential tasks. Bed was a little stiff.

Very spacious & comfortable. Thoughtful provision of little extras like cooking oil, soy sauce, slippers, extra pillows, great easy to use appliances.

It would have been perfect if they allowed you to leave your luggage at the property before the check in time.

The property is much larger than it appears online. I was pleasantly surprised by that.

I wouldn’t list this as a complaint, but the parking can be difficult to find at night. I would highly recommend parking during the day and taking the short walk back to town.
