Tipy records inn room

Awesome little apartment, location is very close to restaurants and shops. Tipy Records have added lots of personal touches including recommendations for local sightseeing and even their own blend of coffee beans (complete with grinder, filters, etc). Paid parking is available two doors from the property, and it’s a short walk to the station. The Lawson across the road is great for buying anything you need during your stay. Very convenient for exploring the peninsula and Hakone if you have a car.

Nothing bad to say.

This apartment was really lovely and cosy. We only stayed one night and it had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and the shower was good. It was also quite roomy. It was very nicely decorated and an easy walk from the station and to lots of restaurants. The staff were easy to communicate with, and responded quickly, we checked in quickly. Would stay here again.

It wasn't a problem for us but apartments are only accessible by stairs so keep this in mind if this would be an issue for you.

check in system was terrible. The only pre arrival correspondence from the host was in Japanese. One tiny sign at the building (even the local cab driver could not find it). We rang the phone number provided and got a recorded message in Japanese. After much help from the locals at the Lawson store opposite, we finally located the "office" ("staffed 24 hours" except no one was there!) we finally found the host and got the keys plus a dressing down for not responding to the pre arrival Japanese messages.

The bathroom was extremely small and the flush was very noisy. There was no washlet in the bathroom, which was very disappointing and uncomfortable. There was no lift in the building either and they gave us a room on the 4 th floor. Definitely not worth paying 19000 yen a night.
