Private House HidaTakayama - Cozy Family Home

Beautiful house, spotless and super spacious, perfect for a family. The beds were super comfortable. We enjoyed having separate living areas. Location was superb, close to the station and from the main spots. Communication with the host was great.

As our score reflects, we loved everything but if we have to mention something: There is a bar downstairs and can get a bit loud, however it closes at 8pm so it didn’t affect us with bedtime etc. Just a heads up if someone is wanting to do early nights. Husband is 6ft4 and kept banging his head with the door frames since they are obviously Japanese standard. I was fine haha

Good size for a Japanese house with a mix of modern and traditional design. Since it's a private house, has all the necessary facilities. Extra points for the soft and cosy bed.

The toilet is located on the second floor, so you need to climb the stairs each time.

Lovely apartment in a great location very close to the main shopping and sightseeing areas. The apartment is huge and well stocked with a variety of kitchen appliances so it's possible to cook meals. There's a laundry located off the kitchen and a bathroom with a generous amount of toiletry products located behind that. There's ample heating if needed. Everything was exceptionally clean, well organised and of good quality. There is one huge bedroom upstairs containing 5 beds and a partition blind you can lower if required. There is a toilet upstairs and one downstairs just as you enter the building. Access to the apartment is via a digital lock opened via a code which the host supplies before arrival. I'm usually reluctant to recommend apartments since people have different requirements, likes and dislikes but this place is really lovely and very reasonably priced. I would definitely stay here again if I ever returned to Takayama.

House is large and full of all the equipment and gadgets you need - it's just great and very comfortable. The beds are amazing. location is close to everything and there is a free parking space.

The host is a little aggressive. The toilet is on the 2nd floor and the showers are on the 1st which is a little annoying if you stay for a long time
