The location is stellar. The apartment is beautifully appointed. It was very clean and had more than sufficient amenities.

It's not a very user friendly apartment. Everything from entry to figuring out the different systems from the water heater to the lighting to entry is complicated. It feels like the host is rather punitive in their instructions. Perhaps they have had some not-so-responsible guests, though we would not be one of those.

Overlooking a park and temple on the edge of the city, the location is great and serviced by regular buses. A short walk to restaurants, shopping and the older district. The apartment is spacious and comfortable for three people, and the same great view of the park from the bathtub. It was a wonderful experience. Although there is a restaurant next door, we experienced no disturbance during our stay. A restaurant on the lower floor is a great place to eat, and a store on the ground floor make an extended stay very comfortable.

Roomy for 3 adults, clean, modern, washing & dryer machine available. Bus stop 3 minutes walking distance. 2 bus stop to Kiyomizu-dera bus stop. Next to Maruyama Park and Yasaka Jinja Shrine.

10 minutes walk from gion shijo train station. Busy Gion area.

Big space, fantastic location, good value for money.

Dust/dirt under bed, windows don’t seem to close properly so noises came in from outside. Couldn’t figure out how to turn off light in washing machine room, which was mildly annoying.

The place I wonderful, spotless, spacious, charming and excellent located! The instructions are easy to follow and everything works perfectly! Highly recommended! Very Nice place! Much more than 2 stars! We did not cook anything, but believe the little kitchen had what you will need. A washing marching fpr clothes was very handy! Wi-Fi did work well!

The only big downside is the check-in/check-out time! Not possible to store any luggage before 15hrs check-in and 10 am (very early) check-out. So if you travel with luggage (like we did, since we where going directly skiing.) it is a challenge! The station is only option, far away and not an area you would like to spend a lot of time when in Kyoto! There is really no place to store any luggange after check-out. other thank this, wonderful!

The location was excellent, right on the edge of the Gion district and next to parks and temples. There is a Family Mart on the ground floor, an okonomiyaki restaurant two floors down, and a wine bar next door. The room is very comfortable and modern, with excellent facilities (the heated floor was very welcome in January!) The value for money was excellent, given the location and quality of the apartment. We could get to all attractions and sights easily, and there is a lot of choice in bars and restaurants close by.

The apartment is not quiet, with the busy streets outside and the wine bar next door. The wine bar stays open until 2am, and on a couple of nights we were all disturbed by customers leaving and talking loudly in the lift vestibule. This seems inconsistent with the acommodation's strict instructions that we make no noise after 9pm to avoid disturbing the neighbours! The bath is lovely, but the plug fitting seems broken and it drains quickly.
