Lovely place

Great Location and Restaurants Jumbo Supermarket bars beach etc. Round the Corner. View to the ocean and 100 m to the beach. No 1 Restaurant creole shack in Flic n Flac is in groundfloor but by incidence only for lunch. Its a pity. Netflix available !!!

Comfortable apartment with equipped kitchen, good AC and nice balcony. We came for 4 nights but ended up extra for 10 nights as it’s a great base for trips. Very quiet even on weekends which was why we decided to stay longer.

Walking distance from the beach. Secure parking. Big room with aircon. Friendly staff

Dishes and bathroom not very clean. Bed is uncomfortable. The area smells and during weekends/ public holidays is very loud at night from people traffic around the area.

Malina and Harry were perfect hosts and gave us superb communication from the minute we booked. Our flight arrived way before the checkin time so they hadn't had time to prepare our room when we arrived, but we were welcomed into their restaurant and invited to help ourselves to a complimentary drink whilst we waited. They kindly stored our luggage too. Being tired from our journey we asked if we could eat at the restaurant, the Shack, and despite being very busy Malina squeezed us in. The meal was amazing, full of so many flavours and an absolute bargain at about £13 for 3 courses. It was so good we ate there again and this time it was even more delicious. We're definitely fans of traditional Creole cuisine. The room was quite basic but large enough to spread ourselves out and very comfortable. It had everything we needed to prepare our own meals and my favourite thing was the terrace where you can relax in relative privacy away from the busier areas of Flic en Flac. Silver Sands is a little oasis, with its cleanliness, friendliness and tranquility. The rest of Flic en Flac we were rather disappointed with, I'm afraid as there was a lot of litter and smells. Silver Sands was a few minutes walk from the Jumbo supermarket, which has a good choice of products and is good value for money. There's also a lot of restaurants nearby, but we'd recommend eating at Silver Sands for its superior quality and value for money. The beach is a minute's walk and had some amazing sunsets. There's a lot of broken glass and coral, so wear beach shoes. Booking.com showed Silver Sands has having free airport shuttle. This is a mistake, but Malina's father will provide a shuttle service at a very competitive price. We booked a normal taxi from the airport as I thought we might do a bit of sight seeing on the way. In the event we were too tired.

We didn't like Flic en Flac as it was quite dirty, but Silver Sands is a real pearl.

Room was very spacious and bed very comfortable. Fans and AC powerful. Nice wide balcony too. Close to the beach.

The floor was not super clean on arrival, had to use sneakers. Minimum kitchen utensils.

This is a gated apartment building close to the beach, behind a (soon-to-be) cemetary. My understanding is that the hosts rent out multiple different apartments in the building. I got the one on the ground floor - the apartment was spacious and clean, but I preferred to keep the curtains closed at it had a fairly direct view to the street. The apartment is centrally located, with only a few minutes walk to the beach and the restaurants on the two main roads. I liked the easy parking on the gated yard. Self check-in was very easy. I also tried the restaurants in the same building, run by the hosts. The food was delicious, but it did take me two hours to have lunch (because of the wait times).

Although the hosts were super nice, I think the communication between them could work better. I got messages from one host, who asked me to call the other one, which then didn't know which apartment I was signed up for :) Also the cleaner came to wake me up on the check-out day, even when I had told the other host that I would be leaving around 11 AM. The cleaner didn't speak English, so we didn't have a common language - the hosts were fluent in English. Both the A/C and the Wi-Fi worked just okay. There was some noise from the street on the weekend (loud music from cars going by, and some music from the bar nearby). These were just minor things, and I can highly recommend the place for its central location and great value.

Spacious, bright apartment. Good AC and internet. Beach across the street, shop around the corner. Kitchen well equipped for preparing breakfast. Many restaurants nearby.

Kitchen furniture needs replacement.
