I recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning seafront property, and it truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by breathtaking panoramic views of the ocean, which made every morning feel like a serene escape. The property itself is impeccably maintained, with spacious, tastefully decorated rooms that offer the perfect balance of comfort and luxury. What really sets this place apart, though, is the location. The views from the balcony are simply unreal—perfect for watching the sunset or just enjoying the sound of the waves crashing below. The gentle sea breeze and peaceful atmosphere created an oasis of relaxation. The host was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Whether you’re lounging by the beach, exploring the nearby coastal trails, or just enjoying a quiet evening with a glass of wine, this property provides an experience that feels like a true getaway. If you’re looking for a peaceful, beautiful, and unforgettable stay by the sea, I can’t recommend this place enough. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

The apartment is indeed located on the seafront overlooking the beach at Grand Baie which is in itself a fairly busy area. The apartment also had two rooms and two bathrooms as described, a small kitchen area with a fridge (that my son had to repair) and a lounge, balcony and other room at the front. Security was good as there was a double door each with a lock, plus the place is somewhat bizarrely, situated on the top floor of a small shopping mall. The air conditioning thankfully worked in the two bedrooms, and one of the showers was at least useable.

The place is at best "run down", or putting it another way, in need of some serious renovation. i.e. Some of the internal locks didn't work, aircon in the lounge was woeful and no remote for the aircon in the front room. Of the two bathrooms, the shower by the rear bedroom was unusable as the stained shower tray was both cracked & it overflowed during use. NB. I reported this to our host the day after we arrived but it took him 4 days to respond to my message. To be fair when he did answer he said he'd have a look the next day but as this was just before we vacated I told him not to bother. I also mentioned "a few other issues" but as he'd never answered or returned, they were never itemised. The place was pretty grubby and in need of a damn good clean. There is also a concrete beam across the floor between the lounge and the front room that protrudes several inches and has razor sharp edges so is a health and safety hazard. Both my son & I are trained in risk assessing and this would never pass UK safety standards. What's more, my son lacerated his toe (see photos below); thank God he never fractured it. Also, as I am coming up for 70 and a tad dodgy on my pins, I consider myself fortunate that I never fell over it either and we fear someone could eventually have a nasty accident. There were quite a few other issues as well. e.g. The fridge wasn't working properly but we managed to re-attach the loose seal, we were left only 2 small towels for the week, and whilst the beds had a bedsheet across there was no bed linen so we had to sleep under a couple of soiled uncovered duvets we found in a cupboard. I rarely compose any damning reviews and post them after the event, preferring to deal with issues locally as they occur but given the lack of communications, I have no choice & will be taking this up with Booking.com upon our return.

What a view! Absolutely great. Very good property and amazing sea views especially for such a good price. Would probably need to pay 10 or 20 times more for such a central location in front of the beach in other places and every facility at your fingertips. Value for money for sure and clean property with quintessential authentic Mauritian decor. Loved our stay and will come back again.

Super nice penthouse with great views of the ocean. You are super central and everything is within walking distance. Clean place with a kitchen which has all ustensils and amenities you will need. You can just sit on the balcony or your bed or the dining area and admire the clean blue sea in front of you. It feels like we were in heaven. Super good value also for such a seafront property!
