Glass roof private loft in Tromsø

A home away from home. And the loft windows allowed us to watch the northern lights for hours on our last night! Everything you could possibly need was provided.

Please replace/refit the bedroom blind, and everything will be perfect. Take eye masks in the meantime, as I would still stay even with no blind!!

The little apartment was very comfortable, the living room was really beautiful with the glass ceiling opening the view to the sights of Tromsø. Great for a short stopover!

The location was fantastic, walking distance to town and lovely area. The sofa was very comfy. The host was very positive, friendly and professional. It was easy to access and the host recommendations and tromso books were helpful.

Curtains on the bedroom window would be good as lots of light from the outside and the handles for the kitchen cupboards were bit sticky/could be bit cleaner. Sadly couldn’t see out the glass roof because of the snow covering the whole thing!

Great location and beautiful views!! Could not get enough of the sunrises and sunsets.

Upon arrival there was leftover coffee in the machine and the shower was a bit dirty, but otherwise it was great.

The view is stunning and we did view the lights from the lounge area 2 nights running.

The bedroom is actually impossible to sleep in not only is the bed only suitable for one person the blind had broken and had not been repaired just thrown by the side of the window sill - there was not one curtain or blind in the whole apartment . Tromso is an extremely bright city and all the houses leave their lights on a night so if you are sensitive to light it’s an issue. We spent every night making up the bed settee for me and moving the mattress from the bedroom to various positions in the apartment so my husband could sleep for over £350 per night this is just not acceptable. A hotel right on the front with a large sea view window was the same price!! The location is up and down a steep hill so if you are unfit and a little infirm (knee issues etc) beware….it was particularly scary for me as it had snowed prior to our visit so I was like Bambi going down the stepper section …. Take spikes for your boots! We messaged the owner the first morning on two platforms to request someone came and fixed the blind and also we had a couple of cleanliness issues. We also thought the standard of bedding and towels were appalling quality for the cost of the apartment - I have never come across such stained, ripped tea towels and scratchy poor quality bathroom towels. The owner needs to improve the experience for his guests. The opportunity to improve the bedroom situation is possible it just requires some thought and obviously cost and I’m sure with the profits made for the cost of the is apartment this could be achieved.

We loved this apartment. it's very cosy and comfortable. The views are incredibly beautiful. Very clean and had everything we needed. It's well set up. Justin was amazing. Our parking spot was snowed in with snow on arrival. A quick text and he was over in a flash and dug it out for us. Couldn't fault a thing....

The only thing was the bed, but we just pulled in out a bit so we could be comfortable. But i was aware of this from other reviews. And the sloped roof, but I'm short, so it's wasn't too much of a problem for me 😂

The reason I booked the property was the sunroom and view but the fact that apartment was not clean did not make any of it worth it.

It was not cleaned when we checked in I found dirty towels in the bathroom, dirty linens removed from the bedding. It seems the cleaning person did not show up and the apartment was as the last guest left it. I tried to contact the host multiple times via messages and a phone number that he provided with no luck. The host before the incident was very responsive but not after I started asking questions about the cleanliness he basically ignored me and my phone calls. I paid a lot of money for a not clean apartment $650 for 2 nights. I finally spoke to customer service on booking.com team and they also were not able to contact the host. Finally we decided to leave because the place was not clean and had to go book another hotel in town last minute for those two nights. It’s been 3 days since I tried to communicate with the host, he still has not gotten back to me and he didn’t return my money not even part of it.
