Sintra Chalet

Perfect location. Close to everything

Perfectly located, close to the station. The friendly host was very helpful and provided us with useful information. He was quick to respond to our queries.

The location was great, close to the town center. The taxi dropped us off at the wrong address since there are 2 street with the same name in Sintra, we called the owner and he replied very quickly and send us the correct location, he was very nice and helpful!

Everything seemed fine at first, but the floors were very dirty. We forgot our slippers and after a walk from the entry door to the bathroom my white socks were black! We also saw multiple COCKROACHES, we got a text from the owner asking if we saw any cockroaches since his previous guest had the same problem.

The Location is really Good , Its really easy to get into town , the place is clean and tidy and the Owners of the chalet were very nice when we met them. We had a good stay , its busy around the area so some noise but the location makes up for it . The house has all the basic needs for self catering , the beds were comfortable and always hot water. Overall its a really great find .

The key entry system ran out of battery on the first night leaving us stranded outside, we had to go to the police station to get help and we couldn't get hold of the Chalet owners which left us outside with elderly family which was a very stressful situation at the time . The door code systems is very temperamental here and had several times we couldn't get in ask for a door entry card for your stay to avoid this situation . This our experience I hope future guests don't have this problem . We did have dirty towels on arrival left in some of the rooms ( this was rectified the next day ) and also their shower in the master bedroom had a not been cleaned very well , previous guests hair etc . Could do with more hangers and storage for guests who are staying for longer stays .

Great location for train station and Sintra itself. Parking on road. Would use again.

Not a great view, but easily made up for by how quickly you can get to places.

Great location. The place is very close to the main train station but is very quiet. It’s easy to walk around, catch the bus and even parking wasn’t that hard in the neighbourhood.

Needs better cleaning. Guests are invited to leave the shoes outside, but the floor is quite dirty inside. We even asked for it to be cleaned a again but it didn’t help much. Take a pair of flip flops.

Location was right near the train station. Close to a little market. Hosts were really nice and communicated in a very timely manner.

We experienced some bug bites during our stay. Not sure from what, but it was after the first night and throughout the other nights.

Easy to get the key via the door key code. Excellent location a few minutes walk from the train station. Clean and spacious kitchen and living room. Clean and good shower. Kitchenware ready for cooking meals. Bonus with welcome a bottle of wine. The friendly host is nice, and quick response.

The property is next to the not busy road but you hear car noise

Perfect location right by the bus and train station and easy walking distance to the local shops and to the tourist part of Sintra. The space was roomy and comfortable for our group of 4. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was great for preparing meals. However, there were also great restaurants and cafe's nearby and was also only a short walk into the other touristy part of Sintra and the local attractions. Being close to transport made day trips to the local attractions so easy. Excellent host and good communication.
