View was amazing, patio is an absolute gem. The location very convenient to center of town, overall price paid was good value. Cannot get much closer to the action. Apartment matched photos exactly, so everything was as expected. Apartment was very clean and tidy, other than a few minor things, and well appointed and decorated.

Building is in a construction zone and had some homeless milling around in the mornings. Alarms kept going off in hallways, from other units, as it seems most of building is Airbnb type station. Area and building felt grungy on outside. Inside unit was great and felt secure, outside in didn’t match. Stairs very precarious and steep. Shower head was weird.

Lovely modern apartment on top floor of refurbished building. Access to Ribiera area very good. Se cathedral, rua de flores all within walking distance and Sao Bento Station and metro. Time Out market behind Station not to be missed. Good communication re access to building and apartment.

Access on foot is up very steep route and there is no lift in the building so if mobility is an issue, avoid or get taxi. The bed is on a platform in the roof space with limited headroom. As 2 tall adults it did not work for us. 1 slept in the bed and other on sofa under a blanket. There is a sofa bed but we were told in advance that because there were only 2 of us, it would not be made up. Consider requesting this presumably at extra cost. Homeless is an issue in all cities and unfortunately the old market opposite the building entrance is being used by such people. We did not experience any issues but someone on their own may find this unsettling.
