Costa Apartments

The location in central Ponta Delgada was great, a very easy walk (a few blocks) to the area with most of the restaurants. The apartment itself was very clean with AC (works well) and TVs in both the living room and one of the bedrooms. Although I did not cook, the kitchen seemed quite well equipped. Note that there is a washing machine, but no dryer. A clothes rack is provided, however. There was plenty of hot water in the bathroom (tub with shower) and kitchen. The apartment is on the third floor (2 flights) - there are no elevators in the building.

The only issue I had was with parking. There is almost no parking on the street (depends on time of day). If you rent a smaller car, then parking on the street would be easier, but still no guarantee there will be space. There is a large parking lot about a 5 to 7 minute walk away, where an empty spot can usually be found.

Very nicely appointed for atleast a family of 4 and we were 3 adults. Clean and spacious with all the nessasary amenities and more. Welcoming key code access was clearly pointed out for a smooth entry. And location was good. Walk to city center or walk to the Parque Atlântico Mall or park.

The traffic on the street was a bit noisy, but a sound machine took care of that. Not the fault of the property.

It was very spacious and more room than we needed. The host checked in with us and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. I was grateful to check in early as it was an over night flight. Being able to rest for a few hours made a huge difference with time adjustment.

Location was good, unit was clean and quite well equipped. The terrace was a nice bonus. Wifi was good and the TV had a good selection of channels, some in English.

Parking was a challenge everyday. This is beyond the owners control but perhaps should be made clearer up front. Get a small car.

The apartment has a wonderful location within Ponta Delgada, that puts you in the midst of everything that matters, gives you, however, also the calm atmosphere that’s needed to wind down after a whole day of activities and feel at home away from home. It is equipped with all you might wish for and even more and offers also free of charge parking places on the adjacent street. Undoubtedly though it’s greatest asset of all is Beatriz, its owner. Attentive, more than kind and helpful in any situation and a well of information on anything and everything you might require. It is her discreet presence that makes your time there truly special.
