Shearwaters - Sounds of the sea

We’ve had the most amazing stay at Shearwaters- Sounds of the sea. Apartment was equipped with everything we needed, everything was as described and the balcony with the sea view was our absolute favourite. It was a very easy self check in as there is a keypad and the owner sent very clear directions about the access to the property. We could not be happier with our decision to stay there. The owner was incredibly helpful and kind, truly easy to reach out to and all of her recommendations for Madeira were excellent and much appreciated. Thank you for everything!! Can’t wait to go back!

Excellent location. Very easy to travel to from airport using the airport bus. Stops right outside door. Also great for bus to take you into Funchal. Quiet end of town. Perfect. Also new supermarket opened just opposite apartment building. Lots of restaurants around. Been to this end of town before. We love it.

Great views, very well equipped apartment and the location is perfect.

Neighbours partying until late. But this is not the owners fault. However, I would advise the owners to talk to the front neighbour about the noise.

Everything was perfect! Maria is the best host we ever had. She sent me all needed information on whatsapp, she explained everything detailed. Always ready to answer. The location is beautiful. The apartment is close to Praia Formosa beach, the bus stop is in front of the building, and the grocery shop is near too.

Excellent contact with the owner, helpful and friendly in every situation. Apartment clean and perfectly equipped. Very good location close to the beach, market (with good prices), swimming pool in the facility, quiet area, excellent public transport especially to the center. I really recommend.

Maria is a great, helpful person who can recommend you a lot of places to see. Apartment is really good with beautiful view on the ocean and well equipped.

Floor was a bit dirty, but took me 2 minutes to clean it with brush, so not a big problem. The surrounding area is a bit noisy because of constructions.

Waking up everyday to the sounds of the sea was amazing. The apartment has everything you might need and Maria was a very welcoming host. Her tips about restaurants and places of interest were very helpful. We had a perfect holiday at Sharewaters and we highly recommend it, especially if you prefer more quiet neighbourhood than a strict city center!

I highly recommend this apartment which has a balcony where you can eat meals with a stunning view on the ocean and a fabulous cliff. Mrs Maria is a very kind and helpful person who gave us a lot of useful information about Madeira.
