Very friendly host, great location, nice and clean room

Location

Mustiness, moisture and strong detergent smell throughout the apartment. Washed towels in a moldy washing machine. I do not recommend closing the blinds because someone/something died there last summer. On the first look apartment looks clean, but as soon as you look around you can see that there is mold on the ceiling, the floor was not clean in decades, the same goes for the bathroom shower.

The most helpful and friendly hosts - gave us a lot of suggestions and helped us make our vacation easier. Nice and cosy apartment, very close to the center of the city (walk distance).

Close to São Bento station

32 narrow stairs to get to the apartment (second floor), extremely uncomfortable sofa-bed with metalic bar across that harms your back and makes impossible to move without pain and annoying noise coming out the pipes all night long ruining your sleep. Besides: instead of advising that extra fees (cleaning) will be charged upon arrival as a side note message, they should be included in the final price.

We had warm welcome from the host Isabelle. The studio is comfortable to stay for few nights, every attractions are within walking distance

If we have a full size blanket with cover that would be much better

The location of the studio apartment and everything provided with it. They have a hair dryer, a hoover, an iron and they have put mosquito repellent in the plugs which proved very useful. There is a fridge, microwave and an oven, cutlery, a capsule coffee machine and cooking equipment with it and the room is in a good position with much light. Also they have blinds which they close with switches that make the room completely dark. Once you step outside there is a small super market literally next door and everything is near the apartment. 5 min walk from Se do Porto, two bakeries if you want a fast breakfast and anything could be walked in a fair distance.

Please do yourself the favour and read the important information before booking the apartment and ask them what you will be charged after booking it as they need to update it. There are two options for cleaning fees: One is you pay Cleaning fee more than 7 night is EUR 50. If you clean the room after your stay the cleaning fee will be waived (as mentioned in important information). This need to be updated to: Cleaning fee more than 7 night is EUR 50 non refundable. OR A damage deposit of EUR 300 is required on arrival. This will be collected as a cash payment. You should be reimbursed on check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full, in cash, subject to an inspection of the property. There is also a city tax fee which is mentioned in the important information and will be held with the cleaning fee. Both have to be paid in cash. This information will be provided to you in the check in as the important information is misleading and wrong. I have let them know to update it to make it more clear as it is clearly mentioned in the first option that if you clean the flat the fee will be waived (and they won't). In my opinion these would be way better to be charged within the original amount of the booking and not confuse people with extra charges. And not everyone is carrying cash with them so this is very inconsistent. Also the sofa is very uncomfortable, there is no fan or a/c for the hot days and the bed is a bit too hard. While showering you will have water going out from the shower as the screen used to hold water inside is too small and we used towels to not flood the entire bathroom. The shower head (the small one) need to be unclogged from limescale as it is throwing water anywhere. We have been told last minute to wash the dishes and take out the trash "due to COVID". And this is not written anywhere as well. Please update this in the important information properly and not ask for extra fees or things to do by text messages.

Location and decoration are good.

There is a mandatory cleaning fee (25€), which came out has a surprise. On top of that, there is also a fee for check-in after 20:00. Keep in mind these (hidden) extra costs, especially for short stays. For some reason, the apartment was infested with mosquitos; all windows/doors were closed, but they kept coming out of the blue. We spent the first half of the night killing them. The sofa bed is uncomfortable - there is a metal bar somewhere in the middle, exactly where you sleep. The water boiler is installed in a cupboard right next to the main bed. It seems to provide hot water also to another apartment and, thus, you hear the water flowing through the pipes when your neighbors have a shower (which can happen when you try to sleep...).
