FLH Downtown Modern Art Flat

היה מסובך למצוא את הדירה. צריך לזכור שזו תמיד הפעם הראשונה שמגיעים למקום, ולא ברור לחלוטין כיצד נכנסים לבניין, באיזו קומה הדירה, ואיזו דירה מדובר בקומה. לא הייתה קליטה בטלפון הנייד בתוך הבניין, לכן הייתי צריך לצלם את המקום, ולצאת לרחוב לדבר עם המארח. ואז לחזור פנינה ושוב לרחוב.

The location was perfect for us, although on a busy street, the windows and shutters did not allow traffic noise to disturb us. Bedrooms are in the back of the flat, and quiet. the AC worked very well. All the furnishings were new and modern and clean. Wooden floors is always something I look for. The property is half a block away from the tourist pedestrian only street with plenty of restaurants and places to shop, eat and drink. Yes it is full of tourists, but it felt safe enough to go to grab something to eat that was walking distance. There is a great Vietnamese place right next door for easy take out, which we used one night. We used a license tour driver during the day, so we got to dine at other more authentic places while out on tour. Host was easy to contact, and helpful. We would stay here again.

The twin beds in the one bedroom were a bit on the small side, (narrow) and it would of been easier to rest if they were somehow placed up against a wall rather in middle of room, as we were worried we might roll out of bed. All the bedding was clean and comfortable and we appreciated that. The larger bed in the second bedroom with ensuite bath was perfect. The automated door lock into the apartment was a bit tricky on our first night, but the host was able to walk us thru it via WhatsApp and we did not have any further issues with it, once we understood how it worked.

This location is fantastic, and the building and unit are nice, but the overall experience was very disappointing. The good news is the bathrooms were functional. Water pressure was good and the hot water was ample for bathing.

Getting into the apartment was frustrating. After finally opening the main building door, we spent about ten minutes texting back and forth with the landlord just to access the suite. They had to unlock the door remotely, which didn’t work smoothly. Between unanswered calls, delayed text replies, and multiple failed attempts to unlock the door, we wasted time and entered the apartment feeling more frustrated than relaxed—not a great first impression. Once inside, the apartment looked as advertised, which was reassuring. However, there was little guidance on how to use the space. Each room had its own HVAC unit with a remote, but no instructions were provided. We couldn’t get the AC below 24°C (about 75°F), which made for uncomfortable sleeping conditions. More disappointing was the complete lack of basic supplies. The suite had laundry facilities but no detergent, a coffee maker but no coffee, and none of the usual essentials like salt, pepper, sweetener, paper towels, napkins, shampoo, or shower gel. For a short stay, the last thing we wanted to do was hunt down a grocery store to stock up on basics—these should have been provided.

Everything was great, communication with staff was very smooth. We arrived late after 11.30 pm and it was midst thei break(between 11.30 and 12pm) however the staff was very responsive and opened the front door, the moment I announced we are outside🙂 Beds were super comfy 😊

Not something that we did not like, more like a recommendation is to have some filters for the coffee machine...we had to scavenge around the near stores to find some...not a big trouble, just it would have been better to had them at place. Master bathroom needs a bit of renovation🙂
