This is a whole apartment rental located in Alfama, Lisbon. The neighborhood is relatively new and very close to Castle São Jorge, National Pantheon and numerous viewpoints to see the city and the bay. Nearby there's also a lot of good restaurants and markets. The apartment is equipped with everything you need for a short stay, including a whole kitchen with stove, oven and dishwasher. You also get a laundry machine. The hosts are quite helpful and resourceful. Overall a lovely stay.

While it did not impact us as much, for those who want to experience and discover more into the old center part of Lisbon in a packed trip, Alfama can be a bit distant. The restroom seems to have a bit of strange sewage smell after a few days of stay - yet I am not sure if this is a common issue that doesn't just occur to this apartment, as we experienced similar things in other parts of Portugal.

Amazingly gracious host's assistant Valeria met us upon taxi delivery with our large luggage and led us to the correct door. She was lovely and accommodating, especially to help us with reentry after locking the keys inside on our last exit, oops! Everything was lovely, we appreciated the kitchen for a few preparing & storing key breakfast items before an early day heading to Sintra. The location is fantastic, however be prepared to walk downhill & back uphill anytime you leave on foot. Quiet & cool place to rest your head and spread out a bit in the living room area. A gem for sure. Great A/C & privacy.

Bathroom kinda dank, had to keep the door closed and the light on the keep the fan running 24/7 (funny wiring). Seems like the shower overflows so I'm guessing the flooring stays a bit too wet. Nice shower though! Good pressure.

Clean property with all the facilities and appliances you need for a few days stay. A basket of fruits and a bottle of wine were in the living room for us. We were provided with all the assistance and guidance we needed. I found a bit tiring walking up and down the hills of Graca, but there are buses and trams if you are tired. We parked our car at Manuel Gouveia indoor parking, which is 3.2 km away, but reachable by Uber or Bolt with a 5 to 8 EUR ride - more convenient than using the neighboring rather expensive parkings.

Great location close to the centre in a live neighborhood. Lidl is also close by. It has all of the necessary facilities and is overall very clean.

Fantastic location! Quiet but close to the old town of Lisbon. The apartment was perfectly equipped with everything you need for a few days of vacation. Very friendly, helpful hosts who made the stay a pleasant experience. Nice restaurants in the area, supermarkets close by.

Valéria & Tim were amazing with recommendations & assistance. Favorite restaurant was one they suggested, that we had spotted while walking as well, as it was super close to the apartment- O Pitéu. Waited almost an hour, but went late for lunch & the locals were packed in there! Always a good sign. The apartment is very close to Miradouro da Senhora do Monte (Our Lady of Monte) Viewpoint, which we visited daily! The Graça neighborhood in the Alfama district was just perfect for us! We preferred “visiting” the popular neighborhoods of Baxia & Chiado, rather than staying there…very busy. The Back Yard Nest had all we needed. Best to use Oakberry Acai @ Rua da Senora do Monte 5 C, for Bolt or Uber, as side street & apartment address aren’t easy for everyone to find, which we didn’t mind. 😉 Definitely recommend!
