The location was fantastic, right in the centre of the old town and within walking distance of most of central Funchal. There is a big parking lot around the apartment block so parking was very easy, which was a relief as lots of the streets in the old town are very narrow. Francisco was a great host and pointed out lots of things to do in Funchal from the roof terrace, which was really useful.

The shower didn't seem to be draining properly and the shower basin filled up with water. There was a sort of platform in the shower basin which you had to stand on, and we accidentally flooded the bathroom floor a few times as the platform sent the collected water over the side of the basin. Sorry! We weren't sure how to avoid the problem. Other than that, everything was fantastic.
