Gorgeous location, lovely having breakfast at the hktel and the staff were wonderful

The building noise next doir but the staff were apopologetic and wasn't their fault

The front desk made it very easy and made sure I was accommodated at a later hour when the front desk was closed.

Nothing - everything was perfect

Rymlig lägenhet med stor balkong med glastak. Centralt läge med närhet till det mesta. Fin park utanför balkongen.

På andra sidan väggen pågick ett stort bygge med bullrande och avgasluktande maskiner så balkongen gick inte att vara på när de jobbade. Hårda sängar. Ingen tömning av sopor på över en vecka.

Didn’t have the breakfast. The location was 100%. The reception staff were very helpful - Louis was amazing. Small point - nowhere on booking.com explains the entry system. It does not explain that Mad. Gems is part of Madeira hotel, that you can’t get in without going to hotel. First access not explained at all. Otherwise v nice apartment, v clean, lovely balcony overlooking park, lift, all mod cons and well equipped. Washing machine, oven, dishwasher. Microwave, toaster, hob, safe, and iron + board for the girls. We stayed in Esmeralda suites on to floor - All Excellent.

We had a quite new 2nd level apartment. Full kitchen, two toilets and two living areas. Very nicely appointed in a narrow cobblestone street a couple streets back from the main entertainment area in Funchal. Nice and quiet with plenty restaurants within a few minute walk. apartment has a clothes washer. Very handy. Apartment is a Euro35 taxi ride from Funchal airport.

Google maps gets you close to the location but you then need walk around the block to find the reception area for the affiliated hotel where you pick up the apartment access key. Actually would have been way more convenient if address info was the hotel reception rather than the apartment.

Fijn appartement op een heerlijke centrale locatie, midden in het hart van Funchal. Tip: huur er een parkeerplek bij!

Er wordt veel geklaagd over de werkzaamheden in het aanliggende gebouw. Maar wij vonden dit enorm meevallen. Het lijkt erop dat er niet meer gesloopt wordt en dus aan de opbouw is gestart. Zorg dat je overdag lekker de hort op bent; dan heb je geen last want de mannen zijn, voor een pak stroopwafels, bereid om iets later te beginnen met herrie maken, zodat je prima kan uitslapen!

Lovely central apartment, in the heart of the old town. Amenities were amazing, fully equipped apartment with use of the rooftop pool at adjacent hotel.

No daily or second daily cleaner; even just to remove rubbish would have been beneficial.
