Madeira Gems Apartments

The location was good for restaurants, shopping, close to the promenade and a nice park. The apartment was very spacious and had a nice balcony.

The mattress could have been more comfortable. The living room needed more seating. Larger sofa or an extra lounge chair. Construction on building next door.

Appartement parfaitement situé au coeur de Funchal avec petite terrasse en face d'un superbe parc public. Équipement très complet et qualitatif. Nombreux commerces à proximité (restaurants, bars, centre commercial...) Possibilité de profiter gratuitement de la piscine de l'hôtel Madeira situé à proximité. Personnel accueillant et arrangeant.

Les travaux de construction à côté de l'établissement ont malheureusement quelque peu perturbé notre séjour, mais le personnel a su faire preuve de compréhension.

Recensione non semplice da completare. Abbiamo prenotato l'appartamento che sarebbe assolutamente da 9! (unica pecca il materasso del divano letto) Appartamento Ametista spazioso, uno stile davvero di mio gradimento (liberty), posizione ottima, due bagni con tutti gli accessori e kit di igiene desiderabili, cucina bella e attrezzata. Lavatrice e possibilita' di stendere. Grandi spazi e molto pulito. Terrazzo su piazzetta fiorita molto piacevole e portefinestre con ottima chiusura insonorizzata. PECCATO CHE ABBIAMO PUTUTO SOGGIORNARE SOLO 2 NOTTI SU UNA PRENOTAZIONE DI 4!!!

PROBLEMA:appena ci aprono la porta dell'appartamento vibrano muri e pavimenti per i lavori di demolizione della palazzina adiacente (praticamente un muro in comune)..e da qui comincia l'infinita ricerca di una soluzione. Era venerdi quindi sabato e domenica siamo rimasti nell'appartamento, ma le altre due notti/giorni era impensabile trascorrerli li. Trovare una soluzione decente (!) e' stato una continua contrattazione!! Gentilissimi e disponibili SEMPRE i ragazzi alla reception: Louis e un altro con qualche anno in piu' (purtroppo non aveva targhetta con il nome) ma, chiaramente, la soluzione non potevano trovarla loro ma qualche responsabile. Facendola breve (che breve non e' stata!!!) alla fine abbiamo trascorso 2 notti nella camera dell'albergo. Ok una camera grandina con due stanze ma assolutamente nulla a che vedere con l'appartamento. Abbiamo dovuto pranzare e cenare fuori ecc ecc. Viaggiavo con i miei figli, quindi la nostra scelta dell'appartamento aveva una motivazione. Essendo un bell'appartamento (Ametista) abbiamo pagato abbastanza....somma che non avrei assolutamente pagato per una stanza d'albergo!!!! Ci hanno dato un piccolo rimborso economico, ma non da giustificare il cambio obbligato. Ringrazio davvero i pazientissimi ragazzi della reception pero' assurdo che la soluzione sia stata trattata per giorni..giorni di mie ferie in cui certamente avrei voluto solo rilassarmi.

We had a wonderful stay at Madeira Gems Apartments. The apartment itself was beautiful and had everything we needed. The location was amazing. We were walking distance to so many great restaurants and activities. Best of all was Luis at the front desk. He was so friendly and helpful and made our stay that much better!

Good value for money, good location. It had cutlery, dishes, etc.

It said there was construction nearby when in fact the construction was right next to the apartment. This meant that it could be extremely loud starting 7 am. This was not very relaxing for us.

Great location in the city center. The apartments are nice and clean. Own underground parking is a great advantage.

Be prepared to wake up to heavy construction noise from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, right behind the apartment wall. The reception is located at a nearby hotel, so be ready to figure out that little quest as well.

Recently renovated, all equipment is new and modern - beds are of very good quality. Appreciated the possibility to have breakfast in the nearby hotel. Location was perfect.

The apartment is situated in a calm street but it is adjacent to a building that is being completely renovated - there is a lot of noise during the day - this will likely take another several months.
