I know all planes schedule because they flight right over the apartment

The studio had a very generous space and a great bathroom. It had everything that I needed. I came for work (my meeting place was nearby) and had no time to visit, so I spent a lot of time in the studio. It was a comfortable setup to work. I very much liked how much light there was because of the French windows, and you could alternately open some and shut others and pull the curtains to have privacy and some air and light. Maybe it was the period I was visiting in, or the street orientation compared to the bay, but there was almost always a nice breeze that could be captured. The house is old and the studio takes up three of the five street view windows on the first floor, with those small balconies, so I really appreciated the setting. The area is also charming and it is easy to get to the really central and touristy areas from here. Or to the waterfront. It is good for the discerning traveler that still wants to be well situated, but does not want to be robbed by summer prices.

It didn't bother me, but Alcantara Street (the namesake of the area) can be quite noisy with traffic and loud passers-by, especially if you sleep with the windows open. I also didn't see any mosquito nets, but neither did I see mosquitoes. I am sure Lisbon has to have mosquitoes. Lastly, someone called the intercom system two times randomly to be let into the building, probably banking on the annoyance factor. It didn't work with me, but entitled building tenants or visitors thinking they can call you might get on your nerves.

The room wasn’t ready at all when I got there. It was still to be cleaned and there was no one waiting for us to do the check-in despite multiple e-mails stating when We would have landed. 16 days after I’m still waiting for the deposit to be reimbursed. I tried to contact by phone the owner via WhatsApp or calls. No one answered. Check-in was done by distance asking for a payment of 150 euro which I still don’t know if I’ll get back. Terrible communication, pretty much absent but when it was necessary to get the money. Sketchy stuff. Not good at all and not advisable

Great communication from host. Easy key transfer. Apartment very clean, high ceilings, lots of windows, narrow balcony with street view. Front door very secure. Large bathroom, nice shower. Liked staying in non touristy area, Lidl supermarket close by and also the funky LX Factory which is worth a visit. There is a high end sushi place across the street which we wish we could have tried, but don’t miss the barbecue chicken place on the corner, so good! If you are a serious coffee drinker, we found Copenhagen coffee lab about 15 minutes walk. All in all, we enjoyed staying here.

The wall bed’s metal legs had sharp edges and the first night I bruised my leg when I bumped into it…so I wrapped a towel around the corners which solved the issue. A minor issue but there was no sponge to wash the dishes or wipe the counters. The kitchen faucet needs a washer. Need a new fry pan, there was one tiny one with a wobbly handle. I think Mardis Gras was happening because the first few nights were relatively quiet but one night I couldn’t sleep from the yelling outside and neighbours very loud.

Good location to get in and out of centre, nice apartment with decent appliances like a coffee machine with pods, shower had good pressure, and good amount of kitchen supplies. Nice balcony overlooking a street and good amount of space overall

Bed isn't as bad as other reviews suggest but is quite mushy so you end up squeezed in the middle, would not recommend for non-couples. Water from tap tasted strongly of chlorine, not sure if a Lisbon issue or an apartment building issue. Finally while the shower pressure was very good, the shower constantly over flowed after a few minutes and you had to either lower the pressure or risk flooding the bathroom

It was a cute little space, soundproof windows, nice bathroom. Lovely towels in bathroom. Lots of shower gel and hand wash. Lots of tv channels to choose from. The most gorgeous little Italian cafe just a few doors up was delightful. Loved the coffee machine also. And the kitchen tiles.

I did not like the bed, the mattress was terrible and I felt like any moment the mattress was going to flip me upside down against the wall (it’s a fold out from the wall bed). There were no wine glasses or ice trays in the freezer. There is no proper couch to chill on, I think adding that would make the room better. Also I paid the 150€ deposit which was more than what I paid for my two nights accommodation, very expensive and excessive.
