Santana Apartment by Sublime Houses

O apartamento é muito confortável e aconchegante. A cozinha é completa e a máquina de lavar ajudou bastante durante a minha estadia. A localização é bem central, próximo de vários pontos turísticos, mercados e restaurantes. Para chegar até o apartamento tem bastante escadas, mas não tem como escapar disso em Lisboa 😅 a minha estadia foi ótima, com certeza voltaria e super recomendo!

Excellent location for visiting old town and moving around Lisbon by public transport. Very bright and cozy apartment with basics for cooking food. Two big mirrors are a big plus. Some small shops around and a bigger supermarket near Martim Moniz square, also lots of cafes and restaurants at walking distance. A bottle of wine as a welcome present. Stairs were not so scary as many mentioned, though not suitable for travelers with large baggage, mobility problems or small kids, but such stairs are common for most old buildings in Lisbon so always check this before booking. I and my eight year old kid had no problems with moving up or down stairs.

Cleaning was rather poor with black hairs in the fridge, dust in the wardrobe and mold in the shower. Also no cleaning during 9 nights of our stay or at least towels change. Wanted to sweep the floor but the broom was all covered with hairs of every colour and length, the same was with the mop. Smelly garbage bins. In general, apartment needs a good thorough cleaning as this downside spoils all upsides.

-Really steep stairs. Not a problem for us, but for people with disabilities or heavier people it could be a big issue. This should really be accentuated. - Literally 0 hangers. No hangers for coats/jackets, no hangers for towels. - No space to leave shoes - No space to put the suitcases and bags - No space in the bathroom to put anything even temporarily (like hair dryer), enough space only for a few small toiletries

We had a wonderful stay in Santana Apartment by Sublime Houses in Lisbon. The apartment is small but absolutely lovely and very cozy. It has everything you might need, both in the kitchen and in the bathroom, and it was very clean and nicely decorated – exactly as shown in the photos. The check-in and check-out process was very simple and smooth, which made everything even more comfortable. The apartment is perfect for young travelers or couples looking for a charming place to stay in the city. Just a small note: the building is quite old, so the stairs are steep and the steps are narrow. Because of that, it might not be suitable for people with mobility difficulties. For us, however, it was part of the authentic Lisbon experience. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back again.

The location, neighborhood and the balcony

We arrived to an uncleaned apartment. After many messages we were able to get back in to a rushed cleaning job at 10pm. Was told I would get 50% back from first night. Did not ever happen. Very disappointing, as we loved the neighbourhood

Stairs going into the apartment very narrow and steep, apartment would need better heating as only one radiator available and can be quite cold in the winter

I don't mind stairs, but those are a bit tight and steep, lugging a suitcase upstairs is a bit of a chore
