Studio in the heart of Alfama by Lisbeyond

Location is fanatic. Value for money ? - this is our only accomodation in Lisboa - cannot compare. Very good WiFi - a big plus.

Problem with key/lock upon arrival. I had to repair it myself. Shower screen - mouldy. Problem with drainage - always smells in the unit. Pretty noisy - wooden flooring - people above us drag furnitures constantly. Disappointed ☹️

Interesting part of the city with small charming cafes& bars

Had to pay additional fee for late check in, even though i was not the one to blame for( did inform hosts about flight delay)

Perfect location, There is everything you need for cooking. There is a capsule coffee machine.

Poor sound insulation, neighbors make a lot of noise and run up the stairs after midnight every night. Very narrow and steep stairs, it is not easy to climb, especially with luggage.

The location was great! There was also a small aircon, kitchen with a fridge and dishwasher.

The apartment looks much brighter and nicer in the photos. The sheets and sofa had some stains so it didn’t feel very clean and we had back pains from sleeping on the bed and sofa. The staff emailed and called me so many times to ask when we would check in. Our trip was quite last minute and we didn’t know yet exactly what time we would arrive. They have their own online platform which I found to be an unnecessary extra step and it was difficult to navigate through two platforms (booking and their platform) to manage the booking. The people were however very friendly and despite the negative points I mentioned, it’s still a nice place in a great location.

The location was central. It is in the middle of the Alfama district and the neighborhood is relatively quiet at night. And the entrance is well lit. There is a small pub very close by that is cozy in that out of the way artsy young vibe. do not go there if you mind standing in the street with your beer or sitting on the sidewalk. I didn't mind so I was a patron.

The apartment is 1/3 the size of the pictures. This is a Photoshop reconstruction of the apartment. I would have taken a picture but I don't have a lens wide enough to get more than a corner of the apartment in one shot. This apartment is small, a college dorm room with a bed and couch. And nothing was clean, the pillows were cleaned maybe last summer, maybe. The kitchen was clean because I don't think anyone has the nerve to ever use it. Wear flip flops in the shower please. There was a sleeper couch but no sheets, so we improvised with one of the bedsheets. I mentioned this to the host but after 2 messages just gave up since we only came in to sleep. The AC was a portable that exhausted into a hole in the wall that was not secured. You get the drift good location if you absolutely cannot find anyplace else and if its cheaper than all other comparables.

This place was in a beautiful area of the Alfama, close to the cruise terminal and the Hop On/Off Bus. The place was comfortable and clean. The bedroom had a comfortable bed. The kitchen had a coffee maker and tea kettle for hot water. The staff was friendly and let us check in early.

The kitchen had no tea or coffee. The stairs were narrow and steep and it was difficult with carry-ons.

The bed is beyond terrible. I ended up sleeping on the couch both nights. The place smells like sewage. it was unbelievably overpriced.
