"Not for everyone. Specifically if comfort is important to you."

The apartment’s peaceful, central location on the city's historic district of Alfama is the biggest advantage. It’s within a range of 10-15 minutes walking distance from Panteão Nacional, Santa Apollonia train station, Fado bars and São Vicente de Fora monastery. The big screen TV which has access to endless channels was the best TV experience in a residentional facility. It also has a good stove, microwave and oven beside two small coffee machines for capsule and drip coffee etc.

The term "renovated" and the pictures might be deceiving. I think that they did their best to modernize the studio but the urban fabric in Alfama is so old that it will never gets as comfortable as a regular hotel. The drainpipe is so small that the washbasin gets clogged easily. They sent a plumber but he also said that the drainage system of building is poor. It has only one small window, the ceiling is low and the stair is the steepest that I have ever seen. I have nothing against it but its more like students appartment.

"Nice traditional Portuguese tiny apartment"

Great location in a calm district not far from the city centre. Nice and friendly host. Well-furnished kitchenette. Good place to explore the city

- absolutely uncomfortable pillows and the mattress. - Very uncomfortable bathroom (towels are hung above the toilet) - Lack of fresh air in the bedroom with the smell of mould

"Superb"

The location was amazing! In the heart of beautiful Alfama, with a real feeling of living like a local - the house is a real authentic Alfama style. The property was very well equipped with everything needed for a short stay - especially the kitchen, even though we haven't used it much. Bad was very comfortable. Fado restaurants and very authentic local bars are everywhere within a walking distance. Everything here was an authentic absolutely amazing stay. People are very relaxed and genuine.

There was no place for putting personal items in the bathroom. The air in the appartment sometimes gets bad and it needs constant aeration. There was no window in the bedroom - not so big deal in September, but I may imagine that it can be unpleasant in summer.
