Ocean Cliffs Apartments

This lovely apartment is located ideally in a quiet environment on the fourth floor of an apartment building, with access to the promenade and just a short distance from a bus stop (bus no 2 and Aerobus). The stop for bus no 1 is on Estrada Monumental some hundred meters uphill. The apartment has a balcony with a magnificent view to the sea and Praia Formosa. Ideal for walking the sea front. Forum Madeira is within walking distance. The apartment is well-equipped and spotlessly clean. Our friendly hostess contacted us in advance and kept us well informed about the arrivals and departures, and we were even allowed to come earlier than the check-in time. She welcomed us with a complimentary cake and a bottle of Brisa. I've never seen before a binder with instruction manuals for all the devices in the apartment. Very useful if in trouble with some device. We also appreciated proper curtains and wide beds. Everything went smoothly. Overall a very lovely stay, our second in this apartment. Will come back!

Fantastic sea view. You can hear the sound of waves from the apartment. Very clean. Modern furnishings. Well equipped kitchen. Parking space under building. Very quiet at night. Great communication with host.

Mattress on bed was too firm (of course this is personal preference)

Salome was a wonderful hostess, she let us in before the check-in time and met us upon arrival and explained everything. She also kept us informed well before our trip and answered all our questions. There was a folder, where you could find information and user manuals on all the appliances plus other necessary info about the flat. Never have I seen this before in the apartments that I have rented. The apartment itself was very clean and recently renovated, there were plenty of electrical outlets/sockets in every room. The best part was of course the balcony and the view to the sea. The double bed was wide enough and very comfortable. The surroundings were very quiet and peaceful, and there were bus stops just round the corner for local as well as for airport buses.

Perfect location in very nice neigborhood, walking distance to shops and restaurants. Apartment has everything you need for stay, we felt like at home.

The ocean view

Location was a good home base to explore the island with grocery, food, and beach close by. The parking spot was great as parking in Maderia is a challenge with all the tourism so having a safe place to park made it stress free. The views from balcony were amazing place to relax and great place to cool off and have a drink. Having laundry was an extra bonus as we personnel travel light.

This one is hard because it's somewhat subjective but the only issues if you want to call them that and that is being some what picky as we knew it didn't have AC but that would be a bonus to have but luckily with the fan provided and windows open at night we were able to sleep with no issue just a little stuffy. Second thing to keep in mind the hot water tank is smaller than North American standards because of space I only assume so just plan back to back showers and you'll be fine but the host explained this to us anyways was no surprise.
