Costa Castle Apartment

Jorge truly went above and beyond as a host, offering us wonderful tips to enhance our stay in Lisbon. The accommodation felt so welcoming and was equipped with a lovely terrace where we could relax. The location was perfect, allowing us to reach Rossio Square in just 10 minutes, and there were so many charming spots in Alfama nearby that we thoroughly enjoyed exploring. It made our experience all the more special.

Location was great. lovely tiles and Portuguese charm. Lots of extra heaters for a winter stay.

There are some lpictures in the listing that do not match the apt - the ones with the big french windows and the armchair in the tiled nook. These just dont exist. Plus 2 different versions of the kitchen. Either the apt was remodeled or there used to be two because I was planning on using the table in the kitchen as a desk in the evenings but it didn't exist. Nevertheless, the apt we did have was charming and characterful anyhow.

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment. Great location, nice beds and a lovely host, we could check in earlier and everything was easy.

Well located. Host was responsive by phone and text. Co host was also patient and gave great advice on my arrival. Apartment is well located. Sits above a restaurant. In heart of Alfama. Close to trams, walking distance to everything. It is a good base and great to have a kitchen and laundry in unit.

Small sofa not really comfortable and wouldn't work for anyone larger..it was also a bit worn. Bed topper could be replaced. Kitchen could also use a few more basics...a new sponge with each guest, additional towel, at least one more small cooking pan. A few stock essentials like salt, pepper, oil would have been nice. There is music played daily in an adjacent building or unit. Usually stopped at ten each night but it was pretty loud.

The property was in a fantastic location and had 18th century tiles on the walls. The street life gets really quiet early (unlike other stays we’ve had in Portugal) so you can get a full nights sleep. We travelled with our 9 month old and he slept great! There is a kitchenette of you plan on making a few meals yourself, but I’d encourage you to get out and enjoy the local restaurants. Great access to the Tues/Sat Market, tram 28, and a reasonable walk to the metro for day trips to Cascais, Sintra, and Obidos. The unit has so much charm. You’ll love it!

The only thing I’d say to consider is not an actual issue with the property but Google. It can be a little hard to find the first time as Google basically shows the unit being down an alleyway. It is not. It is street facing and right on top of a Ramen Restaurant, and Portuguese Restaurant, a tile store, and a mini mart. After finding the first time, you’re all set!

Locate in Alfama, where you can easily touch the history of Lisbon. apartment is equipped with internal Patio, which is very pleasant (it is fully for you).

The best thing about this apartment is it's location. Unbeatable!
