Apartament Central Cismigiu

The WiFi was fine, there was just enough kitchenware to cook, there is a an elevator (a small one, but it adds a certain vibe:))

🔺The owner of the apartment ignores you for days as soon as you move in. 🔺Terribly dirty floor, our feet were black 10 minutes after we arrived. My mom had to spend half an hour washing the floor so we at least could walk in socks (god forbid barefoot, gross!) and not ruin them with dirt. 🔺Dirty bathroom, gross yellow stains on walls (floors are dirty too) 🔺No kettle, but we managed to heat up water in cups in a microwave to have some tea 🔺Bad air conditioner, it’s almost dying (the owner ignored my multiple message over days) 🔺Bad shower hose, it looked as if it was going to break 🔺Missing drawer in the bathroom in the cabinet under the sink 🔺No extra socket near the fridge. Either the microwave or the fridge works, we had to move the microwave to the stove and back 🔺Dust and hair in the corners of the rooms as if the apartment hasn't been vacuumed for weeks. Dust on the kitchen counter 🔺Sticky plates and cutlery, rewashed them 🔺Lack of smaller towels in the kitchen for hands/dishes (had to buy one), no trash can in the bathroom 🔺We had to move out earlier due to unexpected reasons. The owner (John) texted me on WhatsApp saying that they want to refund me because we moved out almost a week earlier, then started ignoring me there as well

The property was in an excellent location for the things we wanted to do, such as visiting the old town, taking tours. The tour pick up points was at the university a 5 minute walk from the apartment. The apartment had great facilities such as a bedroom, kitchen, living room, bathroom. There was cutlery, cups, glasses etc. Also condiments, sugar, salt. There was a microwave, toasted sandwich maker, cooker.

The property looks much better on the inside than the outside. At first appearance getting to the front door it was covered in graffiti, however after a few days we realised the whole of city and beyond is a covered in graffiti, a real shame for this country with beautiful buildings. The property could have been cleaner. Some new sponges for the kitchen sink would have been nice.

The apartment was spot on! It had everything we needed, in an amazing downtown location close to late-night markets and easy access to all of Bucharest. The host was super friendly too. I’ll definitely book here again!
