Designer River View Apartments

1. Location, location location! The intercoastal ( by Las Olas), the beautiful yachts and surrounding areas were part of Fort Lauderdale's ambience. The intercostal view was next to the Designer Apts. 2. Easy, Easy access to US1 (East Federal Highway) to the beaches only 10 minutes away and 1-95. Local restaurants and even our gym ( Planet Fitness) were about 10 minutes away. 3. The apartments were big. I literally felt like I was living in a condo.

1. The property itself was an older building however, you cannot judge a book by its cover! The inside met our expectations over fancy. 2. No laundry room or what appeared to be a washer/dryer in the initial photos.

Location is amazing. Safe area, right on New River.

Very tired, poorly maintained room (306). Towel rail fell off, took 2 days to fix. Several blinds broken or compromised functionality. No plug in kitchen sink. Pictures on Web site highly dressed up compared to actual.

I liked nothing...Well I like the walk to downtown restaurants etc.

Customer service was no help when I needed extra towels, blankets. Never got them. Mold in bathrooms and painted bathtubs that were peeling. It was not a nice experience. They offered a 2 night stay in the future for free. I would not even stay there for free. It was my worst experience ever. I normally dont give this type of reveiw, but its not fair for others not to know. The apartments were old and needed renovations. I got two apartments and it was not cheap for 1 night stay for us to catch the cruise ship the next day.

The location of the property id ideal, however besides that, everything went downhill.

We reached out to maintenance regarding the sight and fear of having bed bugs after checking under the sofa beds. There were bed bugs droppings piled up in the corners of the sofa. We took pictures and asked for immediate evacuation but they did not provide cleaning support until the next day. We definitely did not sleep in the apartment and bought a room somewhere else for the meantime until they find us a better replacement. The next day, they said that they brought in a cleaning team and said they were not bed bugs because they cant see bugs. I think they are unprofessional and inexperienced with this because bed bugs only come out at night and the droppings are proof of their presence also exterminating bedbugs requires a treatment of 6 months and not as simple as they thought. In the end, they never gave us our money back, $1500 went like that, we never stayed in that apartment and they did not help us out besides telling us they will bring in a cleaning team, which obviously is not a valid solution for this. Besides the bed bugs, sofabed’s arms were broken and dirty. All necessary pictures were taken.
