The Best Midtown Location by Piedmont Park

good location, near Georgia Tech and in a nice neighbourhood. the place was also good.

the host requested (first time ever it happens to me in booking) to send a $300 deposit over venmo or paypay which we don't have nor use in my country and he wouldn't accept cash. He was not giving us the key unless we paid only over those platforms. totally unacceptable for tourism. The AC that was in the bedroom was like an airplane turbine, every time it started it woke me up. so I couldn't sleep well.

Clean and convenient walk to local restaurants on Piedmont Ave.

Great individual parking and very spacious apartment to accommodate two people.

The apartment was clean and well-arranged to maximize its small size.

Bed was hard (though I should note here that I'm very picky about beds). The ac return was in the bedroom, which made it really LOUD each time it turned on and off. I didn't realize there were neighbors/tenants upstairs, which made for some noisier evenings. However, that's not the owner's fault in the least.

The location in midtown was great, not far from the colourful crossing and a few places to eat and drink. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was powerful. I appreciated the little bottles of water and the few condiments and spices in the cupboard. Nice little compact apartment off a main road.

I have travelled around the world and booked hotels and apartments through booking.com. I found this very underhanded how the price you search for and the price I paid was different making it less value for money. The host was quite responsive but not very flexible on having a place to store luggage (although did share links to places) or refund when the only way to ask a question about the price was to book. The air conditioning unit is so loud you couldn’t have it on while in the apartment, especially to sleep but there is a fan over the bed. While in the most part I felt safe as I was staying alone, it was frightening when a man half clothed banged on my door and was hovering outside. There was renovations happening opposite the apartment, even though I was on holiday I was never able to lie in as I got woken up with the noise, while I appreciate this is out of the control of the owner, I’d have appreciated the notice of this and might have factored into me booking.

Convenient location, dedicated parking spot, and very nice and attentive host.

Excessive noise in bedroom. The A/C return vent (and 1.5 ton HEIL A/C handler) is just 4 ft from the head of the bed. Every time the unit turned on, the A/C unit and air suction noises would wake me. I would eventually fall asleep (and when turning off since on thermostat) but then wake up when the A/C turned on again. Didn't sleep well until I bought ear plugs. The nice host later informed me he had placed disposable ear plugs in the kitchen and a white noise machine in the bedroom. The A/C noise overpowers the white noise.
