Rooilande Guest Farm

We were absolutely delighted with our stay at Roylande Guest Farm near Laingsburg. The accommodation is a beautiful house set in a stunning mountainous landscape. Everything is furnished to a luxurious standard, very modern, spotlessly clean, and nothing is missing. The beds are incredibly comfortable and cozy, and the overall style is elegant and contemporary. A real highlight is the spacious terrace with a jacuzzi and a barbecue, offering a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains. The jacuzzi was also very clean and well maintained. The entire property is beautifully designed and reflects the charm of the South African countryside. We especially loved the animals on the farm – goats, alpacas, sheep, and dogs. The owner, Leon, is exceptionally kind, helpful, and welcoming. His staff are also extremely friendly and enjoy interacting with guests. We even got the chance to feed baby goats with milk, which was such a special experience. The farm also has a small rescue and care station for animals. During our stay, we saw baby ostriches, a young springbok, and a small turkey being lovingly raised and cared for. All in all, it was a wonderful stay – we were truly happy and content, and we will definitely come back again. Michael and family

Rooilande is absolutely stunning! Breathtaking views, exceptional care, and seamless communication. Mr. Leon is hands-down the best host, making every moment unforgettable!

Es war "nur" als Notlösung gedacht und erwies sich als traumhaft! Die Lage, die Unterkunft. Der Gastgeber Leon (mit dem wir den folgenden Vormittag verquatscht haben)... einfach super. Wir möchten länger wiederkommen, eine Tour über das riesige Gelände mit vielen Tieren (auch Alpakas!) machen und Terrasse mit Hot-tub und den Kamin nutzen....

I liked everything about the property. It was clean, and the owner arranged food for us even though we arrived late at night. They have excellent hospitality, and the food was delicious. The place is located in a very nice location, it was very peaceful and quite. I highly recommend this place for anyone who would like to connect with nature.

A truly great location, particularly for those who value peace and quiet. An astronomer's dream - I must take a telescope for my next visit.

A shower would have been nice. Still, it's pretty easy to fall asleep in the huge bath...

Really had a wonderful time, exceeded our expectations and Leon was a wonderful host. Prompt responses, him and his staff started the hot tub fires for us, on arrival he escorted us into the farm. We did a long quad biking session looking at the wild life, it was amazing. It really felt like home.

Would’ve liked a shower in our chalet, but really not a train smash, there was an outdoor shower.
