Best Place Ever

The view was great.

The water from the tap came out brown. The bed lights were not able to be plugged in. No scissor in the kitchen.

Let's start with the good: the view. Oh boy, that view was the only thing that kept me from breaking down in tears. I mean, if you squinted just right and ignored the chaos around, it was almost like paradise. But don't get too excited because that's where the fun ends. heed my warning about 'The Best Place Ever' – a title as misleading as they come! 🚫

The basics: the photos are about as accurate as a politician's promise. Even the supposedly spectacular front view couldn't redeem this debacle. As a solo traveler, safety is paramount. Yet, I didn't even last the night. With darkness creeping in, I fled back to Cape Town in search of sanctuary. The surrounding area is as run-down as it gets, posing a significant risk for unsuspecting tourists. And to add insult to injury, the host's response was dismissive and tone-deaf, brushing off valid safety concerns with misguided platitudes about peaceful coexistence. ⭐ (For the view, because squinting through disappointment burns calories, right?) Don't be fooled by the name. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of this nightmare. Stay safe, and this is not it.

I liked everything about the place. Alex was so helpful and made us feel welcome. She was always so helpful when we needed her.

Some water, tea and coffee for a quick cup of coffee on arrival, a desk as I had some work to do, the alarm was a bit confusing I didn't know if it was for the whole property or just the gate and electric fence. I would not suggest walking from the property, either uber or own car. Arrival toiletries, I forgot my shower gel. Also the path to the room is gravel and I had a heavy suitcase
