The views of Hout Bay and the mountains are incredible. Hout Bay is just a few minutes' walk away. We felt safe at all times. The contact with the owner was always efficient and welcoming. The appartment is equipped for 2 people. For us it was one of the best vacation rentals we have ever booked. Much appreciated.

A visual separation of the neighboring apartments on the terrace would be appreciated. A sun umbrella for the terrace would also be highly recommended.

I simply loved my stay at the Best Place Ever, the name rings true and is exceptionally fitting! The view it offers is spectacular, it also offers a calm location, I was able to unwind from the city life and dive into the pure joy of looking out into a harbour while either having breakfast outside on the terrace or sinking into a hot steamy bath. Alexandra, our host, is simply a ray of sunshine, we were lucky enough to have a unique experience with her and share many laughs. Overall, if you are looking to experience Hout Bay look no further, this is the place!

The view

The area is not good, although the property is very safe. There are no curtains in front of some of the windows.

The view

We were moved to a tiny room the day after booking in. From an apartment style accommodation to a pokey 1 bedroom as a mistake was apparently made. There was no facilities to wash cups / plates that were provided. The driveway is exceptionally steep thus anyone with a slight impairment could never navigate getting to and from the unit. After being moved to a tiny room, an elderly gentleman came down and told us that we had better learn how to use the alarm properly because it keeps going off and he was sick! This was 3 on the afternoon and the beams on the verandah where guests must sit was armed!!!!!!! I sent the owner a message advising that we will be checking out after 24hours, as the accommodation was misleading and not what we paid for. Nowhere on the booking were we advised that we were in a small one bedroom Mama Afrika room and not the apartment that we stayed the first night. I most certainly feel that I have been robbed. The owner has yet to respond!!!!!

the place has a beautiful view, it is equipped with a good security system, the apartment is very nice and aesthetically pleasing. the host was responsive and helpful.

Despite the beautiful view, the place is hard to reach without having a car, also it was sometimes hard to get an uber out of there. It would have been nice if the kitchen equipment included a small stove and a sponge and dishwashing soap (maybe a small kitchen for all guests would have been a solution?). also an additional, or slightly larger cushion would be welcome (this may be a personal preference)
